The crowd scene filmed in Seay-Hubbard church are members of the original Class of '69 and their families. The Executive Producers, Deborah Bell, Tanya Gray and Ida Currie (also Class of '69) are seen in some of the march scenes and in Seay-Hubbard Church. Some of the class members can also be seen in the march scenes.
The part of Rev. J.L. Moon is played by his son, Fletcher Moon.
Most of the locations shown in the film are the actual locations where events took place in 1968 and 1969. For instance, Seay-Hubbard church sanctuary and upstairs meeting rooms are where planning meetings were held, LEAD Academy High School at Cameron was Cameron High School, and Municipal Auditorium is where the fateful basketball game took place.
