The film is set a couple of generations hence, in a Quantum Infiltration Facility located somewhere in the United States, but was filmed entirely in Yeoor Hills, India.
The film makes a few oblique references to the non-linear plot structure followed in Christopher Nolan's noir-thriller 'Memento'.
The film was made with NO CREW. Director Ashish Ranjan was the only person involved in all critical phases of the film except the principal photography and sound design.
The film will be released on November 11, 2019 under a Creative Commons-Attribution-Non-Commercial License (CC-BY-NC). A Creative Commons (CC) license is one of several public copyright licenses that enable the free distribution of an otherwise copyrighted "work". A CC license is used when an author wants to give other people the right to share, use, and build upon a work that they (the author) have created.
A pledge campaign launched by Ashish Ranjan to support Dissonance managed to raise more than 3457 US dollars from 23 backers worldwide.
