Sex & Nudity

  • There is a winged woman boss that is seen topless that Adol fights in the Turbografx 16 and Genesis version. She is also seen topless in the Super Nintendo version uncensored which was unusual at the time, it's unknown how it got past the Nintendo Censorship.

Violence & Gore

  • Adol can be seen swinging his sword at enemies and monsters killing them. But if Adol loses all his energy bar, he will die and will re-spawn at the last save point.
  • In the Super Nintendo version, there is a graphic violent cutscene where Adol is ambushed by a wildcat, and he decapitates it in half with his sword. It's unknown how it got past the Nintendo censorship as graphic violence was not allowed in Nintendo games at the time.

Profanity

  • In the Sega Genesis version, only one use of the word "Hellish" is used. In the Super Nintendo version there is no profanity used.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The blacksmith store owner can be seen smoking a tobacco pipe in the Super Nintendo version. It's unknown how it got past the Nintendo censorship as Nintendo games didn't allow smoking in their game.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The Sega Genesis version is considered hard due to the clunky controls. The Super Nintendo version is even harder but has better controls, but some enemies in the later levels will frustrate video game players.
