Outstanding.

Vienna Blood has been a real treat, unexpectedly so. This final part was terrific, with a fiendishly clever and macabre story. The cadets were incredibly menacing, very different.

Stunning filming, location work and general visuals, it looks sensational. The architecture of the place adding so much.

Problems for the two lead characters, punished for solving a crime, but disturbing the status quo at two major institutions, better let sleeping dogs lie or push for the truth? Interesting to ponder.

A dramatic ending, and of course a twist. They cannot end this here, this MUST return for more.

Rarely give any 10 ratings

I rarely rate anything a perfect 10, but, this series was well written, the videography was beautiful and it was just a pleasure to watch.

Rousing finale to the trilogy

Max & Oskar plow the depths of the closed ranks of the Viennese military. Multiple storylines & layers again make this a riveting watch. I really hope the next four books are made into episodes with the same cast. Such a relief to have something decent to watch. This series really has showed the "Sherlock" devotees how it really should be done!

The Lost Child

Warning: Spoilers
The Lost Child was the best of the first series of Vienna Blood.

Max and Oskar get on better in this episode, in fact when Max's nephew self harms with a knife, he calls Oskar in.

They go to a military academy where his nephew is studying and where recently another cadet had drowned. Max and Oskar enter a world of ritual initiations and weaker cadets being bullied with the superiors turning a blind eye.

This is a layered mystery, I first thought that Max's nephew might had being bullied because of his Jewishness. As for Oskar, a successful conclusion of the case could mean promotion, but I guessed there would be a sting in the tail.

Max's father tries to sort out his son's complicated love life now that Max has broken off his engagement. Max might had fallen for Amelia Lydgate but I really like his ex fiance's attitude and sharp words to him.

There was an element of Euro pudding to Vienna Blood but I think it has done enough to warrant a second series.

I didn't like it. I was hoping it would get over being woke, but I guess that is not going to happen.

Tradition bad. I get it. Its too bad, because I am desperately looking for a show like Poirot, or Marple. But I guess they just don't make shows without a ton of political bias any more.
