This show just makes me feel good

There hasn't been a huge amount of laughs for me, but Teds unbroken enthusiasm is infectious. Not just to the characters of the show but to those who are watching as well. I really like the direction they're going with certain characters and I can't wait to see more!

Mood buster

I started to watch this by mistake, but now I can't wait to the next episode to release. I think the reason I am loving this serie is because it change my mood, there is so much positivism, but without been exagerated. I like the way I feel when I finish the episode. This isn't only a mood changer, is also a good show.

If apple had released all the episodes at once, I would have binged through the whole season in one day.

Definitely addicting for sure.

Very much anticipating the next episode !

Trent Crimm: The Independent Warning: Spoilers
The best episode so far, no doubt about it. I expected it to be about Ted coping with the release of that photo, but my expectations were thankfully dashed against the rocks when the storyline went in completely the other direction.

Trent Crimm was for the first time in a long time a journalist I didn't despise. He had his own views changed when he encounted Mr Lasso. The who thing reminded me of Tom Hanks' A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood. (Which was a great film, and thusly this was a great episode).

Wholesome

My boy Ted has that wholesome southern personality that seems so rare these days - and through his character, he draws people in, even the ones that humiliated him.

Really love to see how his progress with the team goes. Also, all the characters are very unique and adds a spice to the show in the most appropriate places. What a delightful comedy that does not make itself foolish!

This show is just too good so far. I am watching this with my mom, and this show is just such a comedy show that is literally highly recommended. Anyways, my favorite characters in this episode were Ted, Rebecca, and Keeley, and my favorite things about this episode were the storyline, the pacing, and the Cinematography. I had to take a break from this show for a while because my mom got sick of Covid-19, but now we are back watching this epic show. This show is close to becoming in the top fifteen. This is such a funny show so far, and I am excited to see alot more in this series, such as new characters.

Hope we see and hear much more of Trent Crimm. I enjoyed the rest of the episode as well :-) Dropped a star because of general bad language but I hear that this is not unusual for football supporters!

Trent Crimm

Warning: Spoilers
This show still is far from perfect, but it is slowly improving. We're learning more about the characters and it is leading to more humorous situations.

I'm a fan of the show and if it keeps steadily improving I'll be a big fan.

Negative Forces Are Being Confronted
Hitchcoc22 February 2024
We get to know more about Trent Crimm who is a real journalist, not just a tabloid hack. He starts off with suspicion about Ted and his tactics. He will be a force of honesty as time goes by. There is a neat trip through the community where Ted is routinely called an abusive term. This reminds me of the teenage girls in "Doc Martin," who thought insulting someone you don't really know is supposed to be funny. Parallel to that is the bullying that goes on within the team as they make life miserable for the kid who does the dirty work in the locker room (who is also a closet strategist for soccer). The humanity of the players comes into play here (not always in a good way). There is going to be that ongoing tussled between the wunderkind and the solid, older player, past his prime, but wise to the game.

Trent Crimm: The Independent
Prismark1030 March 2023
The third episode and it is clear that both Ted Lasso and Coach Beard have a plan.

The team captain Roy Kent has been identified as the person who could bring real leadership in the dressing room. Someone who could keep the ego of Jamie Tartt in check.

Jamie and his gang like to bully Nathan, who has tactical insights that Ted makes use of.

As for Rebecca Welton. Given her newspaper expose has not gone as planned. She has arranged journalist Trent Crimm to spend a day with Ted. Hoping that Trent will do a hatchet job.

Instead Trent ends up being charmed by Ted, he even ends up liking Ted as they eat curry that is just too hot.

I did think there were just a few oddities in the episode. Just like those old 1960s American television series that show a bit of Californian and pass it off as quaint England.

There were scenes here written by Americans thinking it would pass muster in the UK. Roy Kent swearing in front of young school kids did look weird.

One joke an episode
xmasdaybaby196610 June 2023
I so want to enjoy this series and I am sure a younger American audience will love it.

It might be set in Britain but it is obviously done at the expense of the British.

Although Ted is made to look a buffoon, it is the British psych which is predominantly at the butt of the story.

And who goes for Indian without a beer? Correct. Those in the world where no beer company paid to have their product placed.

Yes, the show is watchable and you are rooting for Ted but it just lacks humour. It was thd last few seconds of the episode before I finally laughed here.

There product placement for Apple goods is annoying too.

Whom doesn't have a case for their mobile phone? Oh yes, those advertising the manufacturer (yes, the have apple laptops here too).

This is so marmite. You want to hate it but you can't ignore it.
