Boring First Half

Warning: Spoilers
Second half of the episode was much better. Rape case turned into murder case has been done on SVU several times. I commend Kat for the great acting. Glad she finally got an episode where she is featured.

Manni L. Perez!!!!

Manni L. Perez was amazing, she definitely deserves some recognition for her role in this episode. In my opinion she carried this episode. My only problem with this episode was Jamie Gray Hyder, she was hit & miss but mostly miss. I haven't cared for Hyder ever since she was introduced on to the show & I still don't. That being said, she showed a small spark of how good she might be able to become. But I'm not going to hold my breath.

I haven't watched this show in years. Boredom was the only reason I watched tonight. Jamie Gray Hyder is phenomenal! I can't watch anything but her when she is on the screen. Her character, Kat, really pulled me in tonight.

SVU is picking up the pace. I believe this is the best episode of the season. Manni L Perez is great. She has the potential for a great acting career.

If that little gal Manni Perez doesn't get some recognition for her performance in this episode, something is seriously wrong in Hollywood. She either needs a show of her own or a starring role in a few movies.

Warning: Spoilers
They tried something a little different with this episode, but like I complain with SVU so often they introduce one premise and by the end of the show are doing something completely different. Why not just follow the boxing story from start to finish?

Bad episode

Warning: Spoilers
The story is about Cami Vega but ends up being about Esperanza Morales. We dont even find out what happend to Cami a 16 year old girl who had sex with the coach. This is a horrible episode because it should've been about Cami.

Special Victims Unit is losing it.

Shades of Hilary Swank

Warning: Spoilers
New SVU regular Jamie Gray Hyder spots a most troubled Manni L. Perez having it out with her coach and mentor Clayton Cardenas and suspects sex crime. Right crime, but wrong perpetrator as it turns out.

Perez has turned to boxing as a way of taking out some deep seated hostilities against the real victim.

I liked Hyder's character, it's the first I've seen of it on the show. But the writers also muddled the script.
