A strong episode !
nicofreezer23 July 2022
We are into the second Era of the simpsons , After the Epic movie !

This little opener of Season 19 was a strong one, with some Funny and tragic moment.

This time when homer go to krusty burger alone , then Come back pretenting to be happy , it was absolutely heart breaking. And this minute was maybe the deepest ever on the Simpsons, for a minute Homer was a deep and sad character, we get to see a different side of him. Then of course he turn back to the Legendary character we all know 8.4/10 , very close from the 9 stars.

Not a Great Season Opener, but a Fun Episode,

He Loves to Fly and He D'ohs is a great Simpsons episode with a well written storyline and several very funny scenes.I certainly don't think it should have been the first episode of the nineteenth season, because you normally expect them to be strong episodes but this one was average and the storyline wasn't anything unique. There are certainly some hit and miss jokes but any funny parts that did work out did so very well,Homer learning how to live his life with positive energy and Lionel Richie's cameo being some of the episodes highlights.I really loved the episodes opening, probably my favourite of the different Simpsons openings,as we see the town after the events of the Simpsons movie, filled with several references to the film.He Loves to Fly and He D'ohs is a fun and enjoyable Simpsons episode.

After having an amazing time in Chicago,Homer is depressed with his boring lifestyle,so Marge hires a life manager for him to feel positive energy.

Very, very disappointing.

What an utter disappointment. After the absolutely brilliant, brilliant couch-gag - which featured the after-events of The Simpsons Movie - the episode just....died. I mean, I don't see why it was so bad. How can you make such a great, great couch-gag then make an abysmal effort, all with the same intentions? It just...doesn't make sense.

The whole episode just isn't funny at all, and is even flat-out unfunny. But I can't say I'm surprised - it's a hold-over from the disappointing 18th season.

On a positive note, this episode features some of the best voice-acting in years. In some moments, the characters sound almost identical to their Season 4-10 models.

This episode gets a 4/10, but because the couch-gag was surprisingly great, I might up it to a 5/10; but a simple couch-gag can't compensate for 20 minutes of wasted potential.

Homer loves to fly on a airplane
samcracc2 October 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is Hilarius episode. It's a new episode for season 19. Spiderpig is now on the theme song on the first episode. Homer gets on a airplane and loves it then watches a show of the Icthcy and Scracthy show where there a lot of blue mice and there where no cats but only one. Just then they landed a machine came and picked up Homer for going to see Chicago. There is Frank Sinatra song in this episode. Homer Simpson watches a show that says something that we do not sell any drunk stuff this is StarBuck's coffee. Just then Homer Simpson gets the job. So he went to Krusty's Burgers. So he orders a drink only and had Masses. He was quick with these Masses. This episode is Hilarius you will like this music and the episode.

A fun series 19 opener
studioAT6 January 2020
Series 19 of 'The Simpson's has only just been released on dvd here in the UK, so I am discovering these episodes for the first time.

And this episode, in which a life coach tries to help Homer, is great fun.

There's lots of laugh out loud moments, from the clever opening titles referencing 'The Simpsons Movie', which had been out that previous summer, to some lovely Mr Burns/Homer moments.

I thought this was great.

A Disappointing Episode
e_daneva14 December 2023
He Loves to Fly and he D'ohs is kinda bad. I personally would rate The Middle Age ( Season 11-20 ) a 6.4, most episodes are not great but not terrible. This, is just weird. This is not what Homer has ever acted like in the show. I mean, the plot is ridiculous and just not the Simpsons. I have watched 2 season 19 episodes today, the season premiere and the season finale, and both of them I would rank under a 6. Easily the best part of the episode was the intro. That into stared at the series from that Simpsons Movie multi verse that never got unlocked ever again. I know, Spider-Pig has been shown in other Simpsons episodes briefly, but I think Spider-Pig can travel through multi verses, just like Mikes Morales. I give this episode a 4.9 out of 10.
