The first series was much better than the second, one of the best builds was when they fitted a 5.0 litre ford racing engine in a capri 2.8i. When they started in the old Goblin factory, things were good, the move to a bigger factory in Manchester seems like a mistake.

Hopeless, contrived, and thrown together, pretty much applies to the format and the presenters. Usual boring attempts to create tension, Oh but will the parts arrive in time?,Oh there is only x hours to finish! Countless people up and down the country that have more skill, imagination and creativity & manage to create far better, with less kit, less money and less drama.

I'm a big fan of well created car restoration programs, but I'm unsure what I dislike most about this. Whether it's the main male presenters presenting voice, with his constant pitches and inflection, or the over-Americanization of the production and the unnecessary need to cause pointless drama; either way it just makes for an awful show.
If it continues to exist it needs to either be sold to the American market, where they lap this type of drivel up, or made into a YouTube channel only where it's not forced on the viewer, by the channel, at a particular time slot.

I've been a gear head all my life, fabricator, sometimes painter, engine builder, road racer, etc but have never watched such a lame tv series.
I tried to give it time to get in a groove but when they took a pee on the windshield of the Escort that was enough! As if the show as a whole just wasn't bad enough they pull that little stunt.
Dissolve the cast and send them all in different directions to work UNDER others that have real talent and respect for the cars they work on.
I put this show in the same category of monster trucks and those toothless hillbillies on Street Outlaws.

So disappointed with this, utterly contrived and put together to jump on the bandwagon. I'd hoped to see a UK version of custom build car shows, but its easily the worst in the genre I've seen ... and thats saying something. A car show by numbers that just doesnt work

Is it a ploy with most of these shows to start off reasonably interesting then become silly & irritating? Who spends thousands of dollars & many hours on a project & not look at the engine,not just that the builds just get sillier & gimmickier. They all are becoming slightly irritating but she's really driving me nuts with airy fairy guff.

The blonde and the Bike guy come up with some pretty inovative stuff.
Not rediculas over the top PMR crap or bizzillionaire GM same ol thing.
If they would edit the cast and move the show to the USA or Canada, or better yet Mexico..Im sure I heard the bike guy speak Spanish on another show some where.

Weak attempt to emulate Monkey Garage in Texas, even down to the logo. Same artificial dramas and forced tension. I came in at series 2 and after 4 episodes I just couldn't handle the same formula over and over again; the same reason I stopped watching the American model.
I was starting to feel embarrassed for them.

Watched a few of these but now I'm on lock down in Spain I will get through them all.
It's a good watch and getting better every series, the little American guy has to be gay lol.
On the other hand that Bird Hellen is what makes the show for me, hope they get another series with some better high end builds.

This show is so mind numbing I'd rather watch my nan die. Honest to god its ludicrously fake, doesnt even scratch the surface to what building cars actually is. They just throw some bright pained cr*p around, some halfords spec shiny bits and give themselves a pat on the back and call it a 10k build. Its a travesty.

This is a great car and bike show, with three strong characters all different personalities totally bossing the show. Jimmy is a great engineer with lots of new ideas, Helen is a brilliant artist and designer everything shown on tv she does with great flair and enthusiasm, and I think the only female doing this sort of work on tv. Ant is totally first class at his bike fabrication and custom builds, I'm not a biker but I love watching the art he creates. Again great show for the general public and different to anything else out there, I have seen all their custom builds at the classic car show in the NEC Birmingham on a couple of occasions they all look fantastic, great job team GWG.

I think this program is aimed at people who aren't actually in to cars, bikes or engineering.
It seems to follow the same lifeless, paint by numbers script each week which is probably why some of the presenters seem a bit fake and Jimmy just seems bored.
Teens might like it.

Ant has terrific custom and fabrication ideas and talent. This car and bike show rocks for me and their talents weather together or individuals
would go down a storm in the USA. Hope you make more like this and get sponsorship for work abroad

Just wow, how has this lasted so many seasons, these guys are part fitters, what they don't fit themselves is outsourced, it hurts to watch it, but with morbid fascination it has to be watched, pretty sure they watch pimp my ride for inspiration.

Solid format and the addition of bikes to a typically car orientated style of show was great.
Partridge and Stanley really brought character, talent and humour to the show. They should probably do something together in the future.
Enjoyed all 3 series and fingers crossed for more.
If you like quality design, artistic skill, humour and amazing machines this is the show for you.

Rubbish ,from title to end credit. The actors are over dramatic, the music childish. The bones of the show has no meat. The details of each build are scant. The prices they supposedly sold the build for are from la la land.

I don't know what the people who dislike this show are seeing, because -- to me -- this show is head and shoulders above all the crap produced in the U.S. I watch a lot of car fixup shows, and I am ready to puke if I see one more formerly-interesting vehicle which is modified by: (A) installing a ridiculously overpowered engine; (B) installing ridiculously oversized wheels with tiny sidewall tires; (C) dropping the body onto the ground. I see creativity from the U.S. rarely, but the Goblin Works folks never disappoint me.

These shows go from silly, slightly interesting, that's got potential to ultra irritating, stupid, are you kidding, oh please be quiet especially the girl, is this some kind of joke, don't know whether to laugh cry or barf at the speed of light.

I love it. For a skint social care worker who is in the middle of an MLC and who is trying to mod an Audi a5 3.0, it's interesting to see what can be done to these cars for £10000.
Presenters are entertaining enough without going all Hollywood. Jimmy's got a inverse goatee face hair thingy going on (not judging)
I'll definitely try and catch the series and episode's I haven't seen. Hope it carry's on.
