This series, unlike other crime dramas, is very solid. The writing, acting, directing, and producing but the scene at the abandoned paper mill (unknown ransom exchange) was really bad. I am still scratching my head. Why did Gibbs and his team not conduct surveillance before rushing in at the first sound of voices? Not one of the four team members paid any attention to who was driving the car or who the couple was focused on in the backseat. They knew the murderer had access to a shotgun but all four agents were aiming at the couple. Every other time in that situation, Gibbs and his team would lock down the scene and definitely confront the driver of a car adjacent to the suspects they are pursuing. Also, potential crossfire problems with two team members on either side of the car.
