Barry Hobart was inducted into the "Horror Host Hall of Fame" in 2011 for his horror host character "Dr. Creep" in the television series "Shock Theater" on DATV TCI Channel 20 Dayton, Ohio.
Assistants included "Terra" (Rhona Aitken), "Firma," "Gloria Ghoul," and "Madam Zoltar" (all three played by Mona Fowler Ranoe), "Groucho Marx," "Uncle Creepy, " a mummy puppet (all played by Mike Martin), and "Obieyoyo," an orange, pointy-headed puppet (operated by John Higgins or Richard Weiser).
When Dr. Creep's "Best of Shock Theatre" tape was released the first ones released had an autographed b&w photo of Dr. Creep in the tape box.
Barry Hobart was co-founder of the "Project Smiles" charity, which helps 45-65,000 needy families every year.
