Super Self Care!
ShowReviews1233 November 2019
Another great episode of Superstore has premiered! The jokes landed right, which made this episode very enjoyable.

On this episode, Amy struggles to stay awake after getting ready for the health inspection and Mateo applies for a new job at the store's vision center. Garrett tries to prove he doesn't have a weak chin after Dina tells him he does.

Some of the funniest parts of this episode were when a very PG-13 vendor shows up and causes some trouble just as the inspector shows up which made for some comedy GOLD, as well as when Dina tries to help Glenn after his health scare and Garrett's surprise new face at the end was just so funny!

Overall I'd give this episode: 8.4/9.

Care for all

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this fifth season episode, Self-Care, and really I was kind of bracing myself because I read some negative reviews about season five, but I can say so far so good. Anyway, here Amy enjoys a 15 minute nap which turns out to be a four hour nap much to the chagrin of her employees who also deserve their own self-care at Cloud 9. Anyway, Mateo features again and quite seriously, the actor playing Mateo should be cast as the former representative for the House of Representatives from New York's 3rd district because the resemblance and mannerisms is so real and I can see the actor getting an Emmy or an Oscar.

I had given this 5 stars

When I first watched it however many years ago when it first came out.

I just rewatched it Nov 2022.

This episode deserves 1 star.

However...Mateo and David Wain bring it up to a 3.

It does feature America Ferrara a lot...and there is an inverse relationship with AF screen time and my rating.

More AF...fewer stars.

AF should be a beacon to untalented, unappealing actors all across the globe.

Don't let your lack of talent get in your way.

Don't let your less than average looks get in your way.

Don't let your inability to be funny in a comedy prevent you from being in a sitcom.

If AF can make...and she really shouldn't...literally anyone can.

I never watched an episode of Ugly American...but how did she get a role on any tv show? Of all the actresses up for that part, how was she the one chosen.

Anyway...this episode...no bueno overall.

Really...just take the Mateo scenes, and that's all you need.

The Garret scenes were...fine enough.

Forgettable...so not negative, but not a positive.

They were very neutral.
