Go back in time and some fur and hair filled secrets are revealed about two girls!
blanbrn4 October 2020
This episode 11 from season four of "HBO's" "Room 104" called "Fur" is one interesting episode that twist and is revealing and it is sure different as it's an animated one. Set back in 1987 it's like you the viewer are watching the friendship of two teenage girls play out on a cartoon show. Finley and Grey are two high school girls that are friends and they are coming of age having questions about themselves and they both have plenty of wonder and thought and they love listening to pop rock on tapes, watching "HBO" and reading teen magazines. They sneak into "Room 104" to have a night of fun only things change when a popular jock is called up to visit. All of a sudden the girls discover their real roots and change for protection as they adapt to the moment as it's revealing to see who they really are. Overall different episode that twist it's clearly one of the season's unique one's especially since it was an animated episode.

The beginning of the end
suzasailor10 October 2020
This is the nail on the coffin for this show. It started off as a campy mixed bag of genres that had the various directors use clever writing to overcome limitations of using a single motel room for the stage of each episode. Some great, most mediocre and a few straight up bad ones. I give you Fur. The bottom of the barrel. This brain dead concept and even worse written contrived mess is the final straw for many fans. Its like the director doesnt even know how that period of time in the 90s really is. The animation is dated and the super girl power ending is cringy and laughable. This show has derailed and Fur will go down as the conductor who crashed it.

Terrible shame really.

Season 4 saves the best for last
leonleaoalves4 October 2020
This season began kind of disappointing and it reached new heights of overall badness in the "Last Man" episode. However, episodes 11 and 12 both provide the greatness Room 104 is known for.

"Fur" is an animated episode, and that alone delivers on it pushing the boundaries. The twists, reminiscent of cult classic "Ginger Snaps", and the unexpected ending make it all even more interesting.

Certainly not one of the best episodes of the show, but still a pretty entertaining half-hour of television and a refreshment from the lackluster beginning of the season. With only one episode left on the series, it seems that this year of Room 104 has been saving the best for last.

Finley, Grey and John too

Warning: Spoilers
This is the penultimate episode of Room 104, and you either like Fur, you hate Fur or you think it could have been a contender. I fall into the third category because the animation concept was inspirational, especially for two teenagers from the 80s. But when they and John broke out into superhero wolverines and such, I wondered where is Fur going? But anyway, I only wish other series did an animation episode as a last hurrah, like Seinfeld, Law and Order, Diagnosis Murder, Barry (in some ways Barry was animated) and Superstore.
