Martin is discouraged by Patty's spending less and less time at home. Patty sees this and feels she will dedicate her life to him, since he has for her. She cancels her date with Richard and spends the evening talking to Martin and catching up on everything, to his delight. Martin cancels plans with Natalie to take Patty to a sports rally. He soon begins realizing how much he is sacrificing of his own life and hobbies. Richard hints toward it, but Patty doesn't see this, thinking only of how much Martin needs her. Martin is reluctant to say anything to her, seeing how much it means to her. A life lesson is learned.
