- During the sophomore sleepover, Max bares her heart, Georgia resumes bad habits and Ginny shares connections with both Hunter and Marcus.
- Georgia accepts to have Ginny participate in Sophomore sleepover and offers Ellen to chaperone with her when she sees the money for the tickets, but she can't find a babysitter for Austin; however, Paul agrees to babysit him. Ginny starts her new job at Blue Farm and Max, who got the lead in the musical, crushes on Riley, a fellow theater kid. Excited about the Sleepover, Ginny and her friends text about it; it is revealed Abby actually has body image issues and tapes her legs to make them look thinner. At the sleepover, Ginny and her new friends dance and take pictures in a photo booth: Hunter joins Ginny and he kisses her. Georgia looks at Ginny, but Ginny asks her to go away as she feels embarrassed in front of her friends; Ginny, Max, Abby and Norah decide to get matching ponytails, but the hairdresser ruins Ginny's hair and she runs to the bathroom, where she finds Marcus hiding. As Ginny fixes her hair, they talk and Marcus reveals he struggles with depression after his best friend died the previous year. Georgia offers to take the money from the tickets to the principal office, stealing some of it. Max confesses her feelings to Riley and kisses her, but Riley tells her she's straight: a distraught Max confides in Georgia, who comforts her. Georgia finds Ginny in the bathroom and the two quarrel, Ginny accusing her mom of being jealous because she's experiencing something Georgia never has. In the meantime, Paul bonds with Austin over football, but he finds the credit cards in Austin's name. After the sleepover, Hunter asks Ginny to be his girlfriend and she accepts, while Max meets Sophie. Flashbacks reveal teenage Georgia finding out she's pregnant in a bathroom of a gas station and immediately after, meeting a boy named Joe who's on a school trip: Joe gives her half of his sandwich and tells her he's from Wellsbury and that he'd love to have a farm with animals, while Georgia recounts how she wished for a magic horse named Milkshake when she was younger; before leaving, Joe gifts his Ray-bans to Georgia.
