Musical lovers were given a little treat.

Warning: Spoilers
The rest can just be bitter about it. Regardless of Fallon and Adam's flawless vocals. If something wasn't explaining that weird change of tone, I would've probably hated it too. But the idea was brought naturally, and the sub plot was evolving on its own. With the same off beat humor, the show can master sometimes. Too bad the main event (the reconciliation) didn't happen, though. Maybe it will in the end... Nice season so far.

Musical lovers unite for this awesome episode!

This is a great episode! It's fun and enjoyable and as always, filled with drama and scandal Gallon is high on gas this episode and some of the cast are lucky enough to show other talents singing retro hits and making this episode a happy vibe change of pace.

What have the writers done to Dynasty??
addimvp31 May 2021
This must be the worst episode of the entire series. A musical? Really? This is Dynasty. Are the writers out of their minds. They have obviously forgotten what Dynasty is, and it ain't a musical. This episode was terrible and felt more like Glee than Dynasty. Season 4 better make up for the mess they have made this season.

What a pleasant surprise!

I love music and musicals, so this episode was wonderful, I loved it! Very impressed with their natural singing voices. I enjoyed the performances, and I like story-wise how Fallon's hallucinations and behaviour is explained because of the gas leak in her room.

GREAT EPISODE
gzdbnc11 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Ive read the comments first for this episode after seeing the rating so low and im surprised how many people hated the episode. It was a great idea that Fallons mind was triggered after the smoke that Boo caused in her room, and musical numbers were absolute amazing!!!!! I love Fallon and after a long time Ive laughed in this episode that is absolutely no harm in human body (sam and Fallon's musical number was not expected for me at that moment and fallons reactions are gorgeous :D). Everybody should be just more open to new ideas. Yes it is a drama but could you not even accept a little laugh, fun and enthusiasm? Loves:)

Something Desperate

This episode is absolute insanity! Love the musical numbers, and I hate seeing Fallon and Liam apart. Loved seeing Adam get some karma for some of his actions, very good episode.

Horrible!

A whole episode dedicated to mediocre singing. Unfortunately, this show has more singing then drama now. A real shame.

As a musical hater....

This episode was painful to watch but as the wife fell asleep, I had to watch it a second time. It was better. I think if you watch it with an open mind you'll find yourself enjoying it.

My friends and I were shocked!

Who is this show for? Before season 3 it was beloved by all, adults and teenagers, but now it feels like they are alienating a big part of the fanbase. I'm very disappointed, and am finding it harder to keep watching considering the obvious decline in the drama and character development....

Still watching, definitely my guilty pleasure

Ok, it has been getting a bit far fetched as it goes along, but I'm still watching, and this episode is by far the best one. It shows that actors can sing and dance too. Let's be honest, a lot of actors and actresses are not given the credit they deserve. I really loved the singing. Fallon is definitely a love or hate character, devious, but caring, dim, but smart and I'm loving her outfis. I can't help thinking that I'm watching Lindsay Lohan. And Blake singing? It's complete madness, but I'm here for it. I was singing along to the 80s songs. Everybody wants to rule the world.

WORST EPISODE THAT IVE EVER WATCHED.
daviendancy5 July 2020
This is show is falling apart when the singing, less drama and extra comedy came, along with the new showrunner. Season 3 has so many plot holes. Such Dominique hiring a reporter to investigate Cristal's family, Evan taking Fallon's hair from her office, Cristal telling Blake that she slept with Father Collins, why Liam and Fallon did nothing and didn't turn Adam in for his accident. If Sallie Patrick was still the showrunner of the show, Season 3 would've been better. The only good thing that happened in Season 3 was the new Cristal and Alexis. Fallon barely focused on her business in Season 3, it was just all about Falliam. Also, Alexis isn't supposed to be a softie, she's supposed to be ruthless, manipulative, tis goes for Dominique too. I mean House of Devereaux and Aunt Alexis, really? That's ruining the show's legacy and it all thanks Josh Reims for making the writers turn the show into a huge piece of garbage. If the show is worse in Season 4, I mean with the plot holes, more singing, less drama and comedy, GOODBYE DYNASTY!!!!

Worst episode in the entire Dynasty history
signisjr26 May 2020
I was really hyped seeing this new season 3 being released, however this speific episode is so unwatchable that while it is still running I downloaded IMDB app and writing this review hoping this episode will finish ASAP! Don't want to miss important parts, but these autotuned songs are just awful. This tv show was not about the musical stuff so don't really understand why they had to ruin entire episode with it! 1 song was more then enough, and they had to add even more!

WORST EPISODE EVER
furphytile22 June 2020
The show goes to far this time, delivering a rather sad and cheesy embarrassment of songs. A true spit on the face to the drama and business centred core of the show, but most unforgivably, the fans. This is the first of many instances in this season where they give us musicals instead of character development. A real downhill spiral from here...

Wtf was this?!?
cmedina-8837628 May 2020
This was painful to watch. The show is called Dynasty not the liz gillies show. Such a disappointment. Can we get the show back on track? Less Fallon and more appropriate use of the rest of the cast.

Is this a musical or drama?
pokigik17 July 2020
The writing is absolutely dreadful so far! Is this show for adults or babies? Their is no adult storyline's keeping me engaged. The comedy is bad enough, but now singing as well? Is this a drama or a comedy musical? Already I could tell this would be the worst season. A real disappointment... the show is at its best when it's dark, dramatic and buisness orientated.

The worst episode of the series by a landslide
TallrooGynall9 June 2020
The CW have something special in their hands yet in season 3 continuously do whatever they can to annoy the fan base. This episode was so bad I had to take a break from the series for a while. The constant singing is annoying and crap. A disgrace to the legacy of the show and the fans.

Something Desperate Is Right!
ctaylor-650923 November 2019
Improving on season 2 which was a huge step down from season 1, season 3 started off on a positive course that looked as though the show could right itself. In episode 4 Dynasty makes a hard left turn. Apparently the writers didn't learn from last season with the Oz episode. Dynasty once again looses all credibility and reality with a musical episode. Granted there were only four songs, but this episode is so jarring and unbelievable that it lost all grounding. The show is leaning too hard on comedy. The writers need to go back and watch season 1. Is this even the same show? The Fallon of season 1, intelligent, cunning, manipulative and answering to no man, has turned into a desperate shadow of her former self. All she does is be super desperate for Liam. Everything she used to care about has fallen by the wayside and she needs acceptance and validation from Liam. I hope the show gives Fallon her balks back. Dynasty needs to get some grip on reality. It's just becoming silly farce at this point. Fallon is going to need a stint in a psych ward if she keeps having these hallucinations. (Oz, Trixie's ghost, and now getting gassed into musical hallucinations!)

Unwatchable episode
addip-0670728 May 2020
The show sure has taken a bad turn. While season 3 is mostly an enjoyable season, the increasing amount of musical numbers are concerning and even though some like it, alot of fans do not and are really put off by this new comical "high-school musical" approach. Even though the reboot is aimed for younger audience does not mean that only teenagers watch the show nor that the young viewers do not enjoy the older characters. It is a global hit and all kinds of people watch it. This new approach is alienating a very large part of the fandom. These loyal fans have supported Dynasty since season 1. It is clear that the first season is the most popular one, a view shared by all age groups. The balance of drama and comedy was very good at first, but now the show is way too comical and "kid-friendy" with a noticeable lack of the drama that the show is known for. I hope next season will be more drama-heavy and less "bubble-gumish". Less musical numbers and sitcom comedy would be ideal as alot of viewers are moving away from the show now after watching season 3. It seems the network and cast are more interested in what they like to do than what fans want to see. Even though this show is a reboot and should not be a copy/paste of the original, it is still based on a cultural and iconic TV show and the show is becoming a mockery. CW would be surprised how many older fans watch the show; age 20-40, which is hardly old. Episode 4 is the worst episode of the entire 64 episodes by far and, I am sorry to say, an insult to the original series. I would hope the network rethink their approach because the show is becoming a total parody and looks like it is now a platform for Liz to show off her voice. Liz is extremely talented singer, but the show should still utilize the older cast more and decrease the comedy/musical elements to keep integrity of the show intact.

Again with the musical episode?!
burnett_12328 May 2020
What's with this new hype of series adding musical episodes everytime they run out of inspiration? If I wanted to watch a musical I would watch a musical but I don't because I hate musicals so please stop trying to force us in watching slimey crap.

What was this? Are they serious?
kand-697186 June 2020
What is Liz and the new showrunner Josh Reims doing to the Dynasty legacy and how can CW be ok with this? Sallie Patrick was an excellent showrunner because she knew how to cater to everyone, not just teenage girls or Victorious fans. Dynasty is not supposed to be a musical and Sallie would never have allowed this to happen. Maybe that is why she was replaced by Josh Reims so Liz could back-seat run the show to the ground. My 15 year old sister could not even watch those silly musical numbers. It is just: CRINGE. And where is the drama? It is all annoying slap-stick humor now and no depth. Liz will be the end of this show. Get Sallie Patrick back or a better showrunner.

This is not Dynasty
gumbo22 June 2020
As much hate as it gets, Dynasty S2 runs circles around whatever this is. An embarrassment to Legacy of the original, and previous two seasons...

Dynasty turning into GLEE
bostonbeans16 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Why does Dynasty all of a sudden turn into a musical, where characters all of a sudden burst into singing. I understand this is Fallon getting high on gas, but still.. it was boring as drama/fiction (though well sung, this does not fit into the Dynasty)
