Danny Dyer doesn't work for us but the format is tedious in itself too.

Not sure why the format for this show has gone around the world allegedly. It's a quiz show. As such you answer questions. The questions seem average pub quiz level. Don't get the point of Danny's "catchphrases" of 'is it right or is it wrong ' or 'wall release the ball' with the accompanying hand rubbing. That in itself will never make me watch another episode again. One contestant answers the questions in isolation, the other feeds the balls into the machine. Why do the ball need feeding into a machine when in the first part of the show it was automatic other than for the purpose of drawing out viewing time. It adds nothing to the 'suspense'. The only vaguely entertaining bit is if the launched balls fall into a high or low prize slot. No, not watching this one again despite partner and I being quiz show fans.

Tasteless.

I'm not sure this show has travelled very well, it may work over in The USA, but it just doesn't work in Britain, poverty the way it is during and post pandemic, I don't like it.

Danny Dyer, I adore the guy, he's funny, charismatic, he's gorgeous, but as a quiz show host, I'd sooner he carries on with acting.

It really isn't very good I'm sorry to say. 3/10.

Danny Dyer, game show host?

Danny Dyer game show host?

It doesn't automatically sound like a good fit, but the likeable actor does a decent enough job here with perhaps not the best format.

Whether the public can back his new project remains to be seen, but it's certainly a more lively and engaging game show than others on currently.

Poverty shaming
allanmichael3020 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Their chosen friend can either accept a small amount of money or they could win what they manage to collect in game but their friend has to decide how well they think their friend did on show. So basically if they are both poor they take small amount offered or if they don't care about money, they just refuse amount and if their friend wins its a bonus. Its like who wants to be a millionaire but instead of being able to collect they play till they loose or win and if they win theirs no point ,if their friend just take the small offer.

The tool

This program sucks, you basically see poor people hope to win money and then they have a chance to, but there's a catch they offer there friend or partner really money or rip up a check and get what a fixed amounts on a wall, where balls can win and loose at Radom. It then makes the person who plays the game hate the person who has fifty-fifty chance of making right choice. Watch someone loose thousands in seconds.

Great fun. Should be prime time viewing

Unlike the review left by Allen Michael, who can't spell never mind grasp the concept of quiz shows, my family love it.

Danny Dyer's faux gangster "Drop it" is hilarious and the suspenseful mix of quiz show knowledge and arcade luck make it a really enjoyable watch.

The idiot who left the other review says it makes poor people 'hate each other....so I imagine he is on smack or a similarly debilitating mind bending substance as these are normal people who are more often than not married couples.

The set design is superb, it's fun and yes you can lose large amounts after winning it, but it was never your own money to lose anyway.

Ignore the haters.
