. . . Bob Cratchitt was slaving away on Ebenezer Scrooge's analog spreadsheets, A CHR!STMAS CAROL teaches us. However, the handy dandy computer HAD been invented in The Year of Our Lord 2006, when A CAST OF THOUSANDS was released. Yet viewers are given absolutely NO specific quantification of exactly how many Looney Tunes "Secondary Characters" there were, other than the likely hyperbole inherent in an admittedly vague title for this "bonus feature." The 37 minor Loonies pictured here do NOT suggest a cast of "thousands" (or even "hundreds," for that matter). While "A Cast of Dozens" might not have the same ring to it as the aforementioned overblown claims, there's something to be said for Truth in Advertising. If you were off by 1,963 in numbering the stars of the Milky Way, Stephen Hawking might give you a pat on the back anyway. But when you count up the donuts to put into three boxes at a Krispy Kreme, if you're wrong by 1,963 you'll end up with a big mess! Not even the spectators at a Dunkin' Donut Race want to see THAT much frosting fly!
