Looking at this short, it appeared as if the studio wasn't really sure if they had a hit on their hands...
This is a 'making of' film that was brought out just prior to the release of "The Godfather". It's odd in that this 'making of' featurette seems pretty ordinary--you really don't get much of an impression of the greatness of the subsequent feature film by watching "Behind the Scenes". Now I am not saying it's a bad short--but I have seen much better ones. In addition, I think the later 'making of' that was made for "The Godfather: Part III" was a better film--even though the feature was a bit of a disappointment to most.
The featurette consists of the usual--clips of the film, actors from it saying how wonderful they thing the film is, etc.. Overall, it's worth seeing but certainly not a necessary film to watch unless you are a die-hard fan of the series.
