"Now It's Pepsi, for Those Who Think Young" was the real Pepsi-Cola slogan for several years during the early 1960s. It was also a contemporary movie (For Those Who Think Young (1964)) about teen surfers that contained an early example of "product placement" - the characters all drank copious amounts of Pepsi.
The shot of Betty and Don in the hotel bed was flipped post-production. Betty's wedding ring is on her right hand. The aired scene shows them on opposite sides of the bed to contrast their normal sleeping arrangements at home.
The new machine in the office is the Xerox 914, the first one-piece plain paper photocopier.
Action takes place on February 14th, 1962, which is the original air date of A Tour of the White House (1962) (which is featured in this episode), and the following day.
