The whole epsiode was emotinal and breath-taking but the ending is the best part of it just loved it.
each episode is just getting better :)

It is like watching a movie with each episode going close to and hour and 1/2 - but surprisingly it goes pretty quick thanks to the great directing, acting and writing - it is not boring to be sure. It is like watching the a " Perils of Pauline" romance - you never know what disaster will befall the romantic couple next - episode 8 is setting the stage for a show-runner change of direction - I can sense it and the timing couldn't be more perfect - the romance has been established , the protaginists are engaged and ready to throw sand in the romantic gears - both in North and South Korea - how will the romantic couple survive this turmoil - I trust the show runner and writers not to leave this series with a bad taste in my mouth but a satisfying conclusion to an amazing romantic story. If they succeed i will push my rating to a 10 - if they don't my rating could drop all the way to a 1 given I will feel betrayed and just wasted over 20 hours of my time.

Se-ri stays at the vacation home currently resided by the South Korean. It is Christmas Eve and he tells her to come down to celebrate. With wine, candles, a tree, he proposes to Se-ri. He even has an expensive ring for her. He plans to marry her so she can get out safely. She says why take this so serious? It is just on paper. He replies what if it is real.
Ri comes fighting the men outside the home and the noise catches the duo's attention. Se-ri goes outside and tells Ri she will marry this man and leave. Ri sets out alone to go back. Se-ri takes the car without asking and drives to look for Ri. She finds him and the first thing he does is hug her tightly. He then suggests they go to the school nearby to make a fire.
Dan's new apartment has the latest amenities. She has a beautiful outfit on - her outfits are very pretty and blends in with the North Korean attire.
Se-ri trades in the ring for many things which include the watch that belonged to Ri's bro. We see she wrapped it up and plans to gift it to Ri. However on Ri's premises two men kidnap her and hold her hostage, forcing her to talk on the phone with Ri. She has to tell him she is leaving with the South Korean man and is already on her way.
Ri rushes out to find her. But then hears a shot from a gun. Sad music plays.
