- A new member joins Batwoman's team, and Batwoman sets out to recover Lucius' journal.
- Batwoman enlists Luke and Julia for an undercover mission to recover one of the most important items from her cousin's arsenal. While Alice continues developing her devious plans within Arkham's walls, she gets an unexpected visit from Jacob Kane who needs her help. Meanwhile, Mary tries to prove herself to Kate. As Sophie gets closer to a co-worker, Kate reunites with an old flame.—brahamdali
- On the Gotham waterfront, an organ trafficker hands over a cargo container filled with immigrant who he is selling for body parts to a trafficker. Batwoman drops in and then takes out one man, and attacks the others. She takes them all down and the trafficker limps off. When Batwoman checks on the prisoners, one conscious man grabs her wig and she knocks him out.
Later at Wayne Tower, Kate tells Luke what happened and he refuses to make braids for her. Mary is waiting for hem and offers a champagne toast and says that she's shutting down her clinic. Kate ices her sore knuckles in the champagne bucket. She tells Mary that the trafficker got away and someone yanked her wig, pulling her cowl out of alignment so she was blinded. Mary suggests that Luke run an electrical current through the cowl, but Kate points out wrapping her head in lightning might be a bad idea.
Mary quickly leaves with her champagne, and Luke tells Kate that the cowl-shock idea wasn't the bad thing. Kate refuses to let Mary risk herself, and Luke tells her that Mary wants to be part of her life. Kate says that they need to focus on Lucius' journal and where Tommy hid it.
Sophie and Julia go to the impound warehouse where Tommy's things are stored, searching for the evidence that can link Tommy to Lucius' murder. They find a naked painting of Tommy, then Julia calls Kate and tells her that they didn't find the journal. Kate figures that there's one person who knows where Tommy hid the journal.
Later, Kate goes to Arkham and talks to Tommy. Tommy asks why Bruce is, and Kate suggests that he murdered Bruce's best friend. Tommy angrily says that Lucius was never Bruce's best friend, and Kate asks him where the journal is. Tommy breaks info fake tears and pretends to be insane, and Kate tells him that his hired killer has a lot to say. Dropping the act, Tommy tells Kate to tell Bruce that the bells are on.
An orderly takes Tommy back to his cell, and Alice is waiting inside. She tells him that he'll be executed for murdering Lucius, and Tommy boasts that he's "crazy" and not fit to stand trial. Mouse, wearing Butler's face, steps into the room out of the corner and tells Tommy that he'll testify that Tommy is sane. Alice tells Tommy that they can help him, and he's going to help him. She figures that if Kate wants something, then she wants it more. Alice asks where the journal is and why it's so important, and when Tommy wonders if Alice and Butler are working together, Mouse tells him that he can answer Alice's question voluntarily or they'll extract it.
Tommy says that the diary contains a failsafe to take out Batman, and explains that Lucius had the information because Bruce is Batman. Alice demands to know where the journal is, and Mouse tells Tommy that they'll let him out. When Tommy points out that his face is easily recognizable, Alice tells him that they'll get him a new face. Tommy assumes that she's rambling, and Mouse removes his Butler skin mask to show they can do what Alice is promising. Tommy is impressed, and Alice says that they can make Tommy into whoever he wants to be, and asks if they have a deal.
At the Batcave, Luke reports that there was a call from Arkham to Johnny Sabatino's club, The Lookout, twenty minutes after Kate left. Sabatino has allegedly been laundering Tommy's money through the club for years, and Luke brings up the call. On it, Tommy tells Sabatino to get him the journal he gave him for safekeeping. Sabatino takes it out of a safe and tells Tommy that he'll contact him to work out the details. Meanwhile, Kate tells Luke that she's going to walk through the front door of the club, starts dancing, and tells Luke that they're going to go clubbing.
Kate calls Mary for fashion tips, and Mary assures her that the dress will hide Batwoman's gear. Mary brought her own dress as well, and Kate tells her that she's not going because it's too dangerous. Luke and Julia come in, and Kate tells Mary that she already has backup. Julia assures Mary that she's an honorary member of the Batteam, and Kate assures Mary that it's nothing personal. She, Luke, and Julia go to the Batcave.
That night, Kate and Julia go to the club. Julia gets a text from Sophie that Julia is still tracking down the journal. They go into the club and Julia makes it clear that she and Sophie are together. They take an elevator up to the club, and Kate asks Julia when she and Sophie found time to get together. When Julia mentions that Sophie came out to her mom and is stressed as a result, Kate is surprised to learn that Sophie came out.
Luke is tracking them from the Batcave, and directs them to the best places to take out the power. The two women arrive at the club and split up, and Regan is working the bar and calls to Kate. The two women talk, and Regan offers to make Kate a bar on the house. She was hoping that she'd run into Kate, and says that she's been following Kate buying up property and lowering the rates. Reagan says that Gotham could use more of Kate's, and they share a toast. She says that she thought Kate would fight harder to get her back, and was disappointed when she didn't.
Over the earbud, Luke asks Kate what she's doing when she has a mission to complete. Kate goes to get an Advil, and refuses to talk with Luke. Luke calls Julia, who finds the circuit box and taps into it. Luke picks up the video signal and confirms that Sabatino isn't in his office. He has Julia shut off the lights, and Kate puts on her Batwoman costume and uses her IR lenses to make her way through the crowd.
Julia takes out one of Sabatino's guards, but Sabatino and the rest of his guards capture her. Luke warns Batwoman and reports the location on the schematics of Sabatino's wall safe. Batwoman makes her way to Sabatino's job and sees the journal on Sabatino's desk. When she picks it up, she sets off a booby trap that yanks her off the floor and then slams her back, knocking her unconscious.
Mouse/Butler takes Jacob and Sophie to Tommy's cell, and they find him hanging from the neck, having apparently killed himself. Meanwhile in an office, Alice wraps Tommy's cut-off face. Tommy asks when he gets his new face, and Alice tells him that he'll get it when she gets the journal.
Sabatino comes in and finds Batwoman, and tells his aide to talk to their men in England and see if Julia is worth anything. He then has his men put out word to the families that he's auctioning off Batwoman,. Sabatino's lieutenant drags the unconscious Batwoman out.
Mary arrives at the Tower, and Luke tells her what happened. He wants her to monitor the cameras while he goes in after Batwoman and Julia. Mary says that Sabatino's cousin knows her and will get her in, and Luke is against it but admits that he doesn't know what to do but wishes Lucius was there. He doesn't want to risk Mary's life as well, and Mary says that she trusts Luke to keep her safe. Luke reluctantly gives in and says that she'll need some bat6accessories.
In his office, Sabatino looks at Batwoman's equipment, and Tommy calls him. He explains that he knew Batwoman would come for the journal. Tommy asks where the journal is, and Sabatino figures that Tommy undersold it on its value so he's going to hang onto it. When Tommy slams the receiver down, furious, Alice notices. Tommy sweeps the things off of his desk, and then wonders why Alice isn't more upset. Alice tells Tommy that he shouldn't trust anyone, and tells Tommy that she released Magpie as a contingency.
Magpie goes to the roof of the club.
Mary goes into the club and orders a drink at the bar. She gulps it down and then approaches Sabatino's cousin, Aria. Aria doesn't remember Mary at first, and Mary reminds her that she helped her when she was drunk. Mary says that she's looking for Sabatino, and hints that Sabatino's "mafia bros" are looking for drugs. Aria goes to find her cousin.
Sabatino is auctioning off Batwoman's equipment, and finally puts up a chained and gagged Batwoman for auction.
Mary heads for Sabatino's office and listens to the bidding over Batwoman's earpiece.
A man beats the tied-up Julia and asks who she's supposed to be, and Julia spits in his face. She insists that she's not with Batwoman, and says that she's with the British SRR. A woman comes in and says that she checked with their contact with the SRR, and Julia hasn't been with them in six months. The woman puts a gun down on the table in front of Julia and asks who she is really working for.
Jacob meets with Alice and tells her that she put herself in Arkham, not him. Alice reminds him that he and Batwoman locked her away, and Jacob tells her if she knows anything about Tommy apparently killing himself. Alice feigns ignorance and points out that she has no motivation to help Jacob. Jacob admits that Alice was right about Beth not coming back, and Alice tells him about how they use electroshock therapy on the Arkham patients. Her father apologizes for it ending up that way, and says that he can't get Alice out because he has to protect the daughters he has left.
Alice talks about the clarity the ECT brought her and that she sees everything, including how it will end. She promises Jacob that what she has in store for him is worse than a cage, electrode, or insanity. She tells him that it's worse than being her, and he'll see. Alice walks back to her cell, and Jacob holds his head in his hands.
Mary goes into the auction room and says that she has plenty of money, and Hamilton Dynamics wants the technology in the Batsuit. She tells him that she only has $2.5 million looks like, and the rest will be wired. Sabatino says that it's an all-cash business and walks off. Mary tells Luke over the comms that she has bad news, and Luke spots magpie breaking in on the camera, and warns Mary that things have gotten worse.
Magpie breaks into Sabatino's office and starts opening the safe.
Sabatino sells Batwoman to the organ t4rafficker, who advances on her with a knife. Mary tells Luke to do it now, and a nearby computer explodes. While the criminals are distracted, Mary frees Batwoman with a laser cutter.
The alarms go off, and Julia frees herself and fights her way out past her two captors, killing the woman by strangling her.
Batwoman fights the criminals, and Sabatino fires Batwoman's grappling gun at her. She ducks, grabs the line, yanks Sabatino over, and knocks him out. Julia comes in and Mary tells them that Magpie is there and Luke has said that she's heading to the roof.
Julia takes Mary out and Batwoman intercepts Magpie on the roof. The two women fight, Magpie using her claws, and Magpie tosses the journal off the edge of the roof. Batwoman leaps after it, grabs it, and uses her grapple gun to return to the roof. When she looks around, she discovers that Magpie is gone.
Later, Kate and Mary slip out of the building past the police cordon. Kate thanks Mary for saving her and apologizes for shutting her out, and says that she does it because she's already lost one sister and can't bear the thought of losing another. She figures that she has to get used to the fact that she's bad ass, and lets Mary be one of her assistant.
Once Mary leaves, Reagan approaches Kate and points out the coincidence that both times she's been somewhere with Kate, Batwoman has shown up. Kate says that Sabatino stole something from Wayne Enterprises and Batwoman helped her get it back, and she offers Reagan a ride home. Reagan asks if Kate's bar is open, and Kate says that it isn't.
Kate and Reagan end up at Kate's apartment and kiss.
Luke takes Mary to the Batcave and she looks around, impressed. He turns on the lights and shows the place around, but stops Mary when she starts taking selfies. He warns her that it's the biggest secret she'll keep in her life, and Mary works out that Bruce was Batman.
The next morning, Kate wakes up and discovers that Reagan isn't next to her. She looks around the apartment and discovers that the journal is gone. She goes to the tower, and tells Luke and Julia what happened. Luke is angry, warning that Kate's live in danger. Julia says that they should focus on why a bartender would want the journal.
Reagan meets with Magpie and gives the journal. Magpie says that they steal from the rich because they'll never miss it, and Reagan isn't supposed to miss the rich. Reagan says that she's done being advance scout for Magpie. When Magpie says that she thought Reagan would do anything for her sister, Reagan says that she just did and leaves.
At the Crows base, Julia approaches Sophie and invites her to dinner to celebrate. As they talk, Julia gets a call. Sophie goes on ahead, and Julia takes the caller that there's been an unforeseen setback. She says that she doesn't have the journal yet, but when she does she'll give it to the caller.
Alice removes a tracker from Magpie's neck so that she can leave Arkham. Mouse goes through the journal, and tells her that Tommy didn't tell them that Lucius wrote the journal in code.
