After a few slow episodes we get an action mission for the girls. This why I watch this show. Beautiful Barcelona is well used here too.

The Best Episode So Far
lavatch19 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Episode six was by far the best program thus far into the series. The stasis within the confines of The Meadows finally opened out, and the action unfolded in the great cities of London and Barcelona.

This program also included the best line in the series when the character Ray in Barcelona asks Sandy, "Are you out of 'Grease'?" He was referring to her Olivia Newton-John look and the blond pony tail. The naive Sandy, who was not familiar with the film in his training at The Meadows, responded, "No, I'm not from Greece."

Marissa is being detained in Camp "G" and undergoes a brutal series of interrogations. Camp G was the site of the early development of Athrax, and it was the location when Hannah was first brought into the training program. Marissa stoically refuses to give away any details about her confederate Mannion.

In London, Hanna and Jules work as a team in order to entrap and "intercept" the journalist Nicola Gough. Intercept is the code word for assassinate. But Jules has been advised to tail Hanna. The partners are clever in signing on for a social science class taught by Bethany, who is the wife of the journalist Nicola.

In a major surprise, Hanna is outmaneuvered by her turncoat partner, after Hanna chose to work with Mannion and his colleague Rachel, who are close to identifying the nerve center of Athrax. In a mad dash through the London tube, Jules leads Hanna into a trap on the wrong subway car. Working with Leo Garner, Nicola is then killed along with Mannion.

Meanwhile, Clemency and Sandy have been assigned to Barcelona with Clemency serving as the intercept to kill the military lawyer who may be the principal investigator into Athrax. Clemency and Sandy get chummy with college student Kat Gelder, whose father is the attorney who will be arriving shortly in Barcelona.

The plot thickens!!!

Hmmmm....

High points: The girls take a trip to South Bank Poly

Low points: Turns out that the pub I spent many hours in over about 10 years has been knocked down and replaced by the Keyworth Centre.

Oh, and other highlight, this episode isn't about the populars in a girls school.

This song played in this episode pretty much sums up how I am starting to feel about this whole series. Might be time to move on.

In this ep., they finally send a few girls on a mission. To stop a target from reaching the airport. But it's a setup, to ambush Hanna and eliminate her.

Hanna escapes the ambush but the target is killed by her partner 'trainee'.

There are a few things to like about the ep. And a few things not to like.

5/10.

The screeenplay is getting harder and harder to swallow

The series of crazy choices by characters ... thriller turned into family/teenage sitcom drama with touches of wokeness, LGBTQ agenda, patriotism, and complete instanity. Disappointed after season 1. No consistency. Turning into GOT where all characters will either disappear, become irellevant, or be killed, while no end of story or meaning in sight.

This was a highpoint of bad.

Warning: Spoilers
For some reason, I thought this season has ten episodes. But I'm extremely glad that there's only eight, especially after this episode. In other words, only two episodes of this horrendously bad, monstrosity of a season, to a mildly-below, mediocre show left to watch. This episode was the worse one, so far.

I remember mentioning how the movie is probably so much better and how I was glad that I hadn't watched it yet, after I finished watching the first season, meaning that I could watch it to forget about this show. And, boy, oh, boy. I could use that right about now. The first season wasn't THAT bad to warrant such an action, but this season has been, no doubt about it. And it could still get worse in the final two episodes.

The only thing that I cared about in this episode was that it wasn't based in The Meadows the entire time, like the previous few episodes. Of course, the way it was done made me wish it was. No surprise there, except at how the writers keep turning everything they do into the worst possible version of that specific thing. And it's a shame.

Oh, and one thing that caught my eye was that Hanna does have the implant in her arm. But how utterly rash and stupid she was in this episode, and how dumb she was reduced to in the previous episode, is simply because of the writers who dumbed-down her intelligence, intelligence that should be there, not because she has the implant and whatever it does is making her like that, like with the other trainees, I'd imagine. I wouldn't be surprised if that will be the justification used for the embarrassing state of stupidity her character has been put in.

Again, it's a shame how mediocre this show has been from the beginning, and how it became much, much worse with this season, somehow. I mean, I doubt there's a huge amount of material or whatever from the movie to work off of and with, in a TV show format, but this show could've been written much better and certainly nothing like how it was and is being written, even with the material that was already there, thanks to the movie. The potential was there, it still is. But, at this point, it doesn't matter. The show is already past the point of no return or redemption.
