Interesting premise but gets bogged down by clunky dialogue and long drawn out scenes that go no where. It takes too long to get to the meat of the story, but also has no clear resolution. It almost feels like the first movie of a continuing story.
The actress playing Dakota came off very natural. You could buy that she was a vlogger who was used to being in front of the camera. She was the best actor out of the bunch.
The others were okay. The worst was the news anchor, though. He had a slow, drawn out way of speaking that made it seem like he was constantly either trying to remember his lines or trying to figure out how he wanted to act in the scene. And it seemed like the majority of his acting choices were "give every line of dialogue a creepy undertone" for some reason.
Ultimately it's not a bad movie. It has a lot of promise but a disappointing follow-through.
