This is the absolute worst episode of this series. I quit watching for awhile because of how God awful they made Gene. He wasn't funny, or cute, or quirky - he was OBNOXIOUS. There's no way the family would encourage how unbearably annoying, needy, selfish, you have it he became. Two second silence anywhere? Insert Gene screaming a fart joke(or just the word fart) or a completely irrelevant phrase or bunch of words to be funny, ala Kevin Hart.
Anyway, this episode is the culmination of it all, so if you're as oddly passionate as I am about imaginary cartoon families, steer clear of this episode. And I am happy to say Gene becomes his normal loud but funny authentic self again not long after this.
