The movie takes place in low Earth orbit which means the protagonists are under microgravity and should therefore float. Obviously, as in many movies they don't and in the movie that is explained by them being implanted by magnets. It is even stated that therefore, things like water will still float and they do even show floating water.
However, nothing else acts as being under microgravity. Most notably, the hair and clothes of the protagonists act as if under normal gravity.
That's not what "low Earth orbit" means. Anything in orbit is continuously falling around the Earth. Affected by gravity but not effected. On a spaceship, while in zero- or microgravity, objects would fall freely and float weightlessly.
