I personally fell in LOVE with this movie...

I want to start by saying that for what this brilliant movie is trying to achieve, it is quite close to perfect in its own simplistic way. Few movies have ever achieved a slice-of-life quality that is touching, plus authentic and never dull! I was laughing at all the jokes and feeling all the right emotions that the director was trying to achieve. The acting is the standout by every member of the ensemble cast. If this ever gets a wide enough distribution deal I foresee it getting a lot of end-of-the-year awards for the acting. The script is extremely original, especially the dialogue and the character development. In closing, this is a standout piece of storytelling. Very memorable too!And at the same time I want to mention that I can't wait to see it again! Something about that Jane Adams and her sass! The rest of the cast too!

Comment for Rob

I go to Novato High School where this film was shown to my film as literature class by the writer/director. "Wherever You Are" is an amazing portrait of today's American family and I highly recommend it to anyone who feels like their family is dysfunctional... you are not alone. Each of the characters are relatable and not glamorized like most of the Hollywood movies that are out these days. The story is intricate, but realistic enough to believe that it could really happen. There is also witty, inappropriate (but still tasteful) humor sprinkled throughout the intense drama that makes the audience comfortable. Although a lot of the subject matter is very personal and intense, I left the classroom (and later, the movie theater when I saw it again) feeling satisfied and hopeful for the family in the film, and also for my family and anyone else's who might have secrets tearing them apart. It was an overall very polished and poignant film. Also, Rob, if you are reading this, I really like the new title!

I found this film to be an intense and revealing portrayal of American family life.

Its dark comedy is subtle at times yet very accessible to a wide ranging audience.

It is brutally honest and thought provoking, making you review your own life.

Finding out the film was shot in only 11days is surprising due to the quality of the result.

The cast are brilliantly selected and work well as on an screen family.

This independent film is definitely a diamond in the rough, one that needs to be sought and enjoyed to the very full.

Fantastic.

Lifelines is thought provoking and interesting

I managed to get a sneak peak of this film, it is by far the last film I have seen in the last 18th months. I'm a massive film buff and it was fantastic to see a film covered in gritty realism. I'm bored of Hollywood and their happily ever after perfect lives. This film is interesting and really captures the audience. It held my attention from start to finish, pulling me into the characters reality. It made me feel the families pains and made me re-evaluate what is happening in my own life whilst making me feel good that my life wasn't quite this much of a mess! It is extremely well written and shot. The cast play the roles fabulously, with an especially notable performance from Jane Adams. Fantastic! 10 out of 10!
