I really wanted to like this show. The main Character makes really good material for YouTube. Him and the guy that plays his cousin (Bigg Jah).. But this show was horrible. Mom is definitely over the top. The male characters are super corny and not realistic. The whole show is filmed in like 2 rooms lol. Tyler Perry has that huge studio but still has very cheap looking sets. The background music and timing is terrible. Alot of unnecessarily long drama type scenes. The Crew is the basic super successful type guys . One is a Engineer, one is a doctor and one is a Lawyer. I'm all for Black success but these guys literally act like no black guys I know. Positive role models are more for kids, this is an adult show. I just want to be entertained 😂.The acting is forced. Could've been a little more creative. And as usual the attention to detail is non existent in Tyler Perry productions.

The acting is very inconsistent. The music doesn't always match the situation. The actors seem awkward. Seems like a low budget show. Expected much better from Tyler Perry.

The mom is hard-headed, manipulative, and annoying, this woman never takes anything seriously, honestly I think she is just there to be annoying. She acts like she cant stand John and said she shoulda had an abortion and that his dad didn't want him; What a Terrible thing to say to your own child. I honestly think she should be written out of the show she really doesn't serve a purpose other than to be annoying and throw insults at people.

First, let me start by saying that I'm a big fan of TP's work, mostly his stage plays. I lost interest in his work over the years because it seemed to be the same stereotypical portrayal of black people and it got old fast.

I was cautiously optimistic when I discovered this show on Bet+ and for good reason. I'm happy to see that YouTube is providing opportunities for content creators but that's where my appreciation for this show stops.

The plot and character development is sorely lacking, the set looks like something a high school drama club would throw together and the mother is a vile, foul-mouthed, verbally abusive, unfunny, unsupportive woman and I'm grateful that I don't personally know any black mothers who act like her. She literally has no redeeming qualities.

It seems as though TP is focused on quantity over quality and is just throwing his name on any and everything. Yikes.

Worst acting I have ever witnessed on a formal tv show. No exaggeration, point blank period.

Every character is *so* unbelievably unbelievable when it comes to convincing me they are not just regurgitating a memorized script!

Even the worst shows/movies have even the smallest amount k of what is referred to in film studies as suspension of disbelief. This doesn't, at all, whatsoever, at any poijt in time except maybe when the main character acts.

In other words, there isnt a second in this show that I am not not aware its a terrible, forced, failure of attempt at telling a story. A story/plot that is mediocre at best to begin with.

I firnly believe Tyler Perry slapped his name on this for a bag and didnt even watch it before letting it go to BET+. We all want to suppport minority business and art, but this just isn't even watchable, much less considered to be entertaining.

Here we go again: another ridiculous, unrealistic, stereotypical show from Tyler Perry. Another show where there is no character development (which means no background or history on these people), no realistic plots and nothing with substance worth seeing or raving about. Yet again TP has created a show that has nothing but buffoonery with a boatload of unnecessary profanity and forced one liners that are suppose to be funny but always miss the target.

The characters are one dimensional: it's always either/or with TP: either the man is extremely good or extremely bad. Either the woman is extremely saved or extremely ghetto. Either the plot or situation is extremely unrealistic or extremely corny. Either every man looks like he just stepped out of a photo shoot and every woman can't keep her hands off of him or the man looks like someone's cousin BoBo who sells drugs, beats people up and is an unrepentant loser.

His characters and storylines have ZERO balance and lack any intrinsic characteristic that makes them worth caring about. The dialogue is atrocious, the chemistry among characters painful and the acting is embarrassing (although I can't blame the actors entirely because they have nothing good to work with in terms of a script). And don't get me started on the set. What the...??

And I thought The Oval and Sistas was bad. Having seen Bruh I can honestly say that all three of these shows are in a three-way tie for the most horrible show on TV.

I am really disappointed with Tyler Perry for this show. The Ms. ALICE character is so offensive and pointless. What mother is overly sexual in every scene and tells her son she should have aborted him when he tells her to stop? I am sad the cast has to endure the script they are forced to perform in. Serious question does the TP studios not have suitable functioning sets?? In the first couple of episodes they would randomly sweat which makes me think he is running a sweat shop instead of a professional studio.

I just searched "bruh" to the google, I didn't watch this but because it like the BRUH meme, I will give this movie 10/10.

As usual the performance falls short of the expectations.. the concept of the show like most of Perry's work finally displays uncharted territory in tv shows/film, but where it glories in concept it crashes and burns in plot and script. A lot of the scenarios seem forced/awkward and lines are repetitive and tiring.. I kept finding myself say ... "Get to the point!!" It was like he was trying to stretch out word count for a college essay.

Perfect representation of how black people act in this society in 2020 this show gives black people a bad name the mom doing too much she need to stop

This new series Is funny, intense and so real. It's brilliant and I would expect nothing less from the creator himself Tyler Perry. Looking forward to more Episodes.

I like the premise of the show, but like most viewers conclude almost immediately, the mother is just too much -- even if there are people really like her.😂😂😂😂 In real life one would be scrambling to get out of her presence, and that's the exact feeling you get watching and listening to her. Honestly, the writing 'could be' better. As others have commented, some of the scenarios are simply unlikely, like Bill's character -- all of sudden, catching hard feelings for a women 'he' left at least a year prior, and about whom he spoke in a convincingly bitter way. The acting is fine from each character, including the mom who makes the audience uncomfortable (see my earlier comments on her character). I hope the writing gets better, and the scenes start to flow more easily, because I like the premise and the Bruhs aren't bad on the eyes (especially Shorty).

Tyler Perry has fallen as low as you could go with his writing and producing. He should honestly just stop.

John's mother Alice completely ruins the show. I want to like the show but the entire time I'm just thinking, "Please don't let John's mother come into the scene.". If her character is written off, the show will be great. Get rid of her character and the ratings for this show will sky rocket. She truly makes the show unbearable.

I am extremely disappointed in Tyler Perry since he writes ALL of these shows. Proclaiming to be a man of GOD standing in the pulpit and he writes this profane vile storylines. Cursing, Sex, Mother is GROSS and none of it is funny!! This sends a terrible message and since he is the writer he should convey a more positive message. Yes I do know that we live in a society that this behavior is the norm in some circles. I think that Tyler can give a different positive respectful. They should flush this garbage down the toilet.

This show had so much potential. It is absolute buffoonery. Why does Tyler Perry think so little of his audience to present such low level character development and shallow dramatic scenes? We deserve better!

The absolute worst show I've seen on tv. Their improv skills are disgusting. If it's not improv, then Tyler Perry needs to hire his writing crew back. The mom is super inappropriate and disrespectful to her son. Literally the stereotypical angry black mom. They don't know how to transition scenes and they're entirely too long.

With all the experience you have inviting this piece of garbage does not represent blacks. A group of us were sitting together watching the series there were 20 year olds 24 year olds 32 year olds and people from 45 to 55. We were disgusted nothing of quality! Tyler Perry because he decide to have a baby and not married the mother of his son. He wants to make it look like black men never want to get married. Why don't you try the show image once black men make a good income they want to have families and raise their children together in our home and grow loving home. But, struggle with commitment before getting where they want to be in life. You can still have disagreements like you're movie, why did I get married.

Tyler Perry did excellent job with this show. Love John and his mother especially. Can't wait for season 2. A must watch. Great cast.

What I can say about this at least it has no laugh track, I've only seen 2 episodes so far so I can't really say it's the best but I know it's better than Tyler Perry's Young Dylan. Young Dylan is atrocious this is not. As far as comedy goes it makes me laugh not as much, when I watch Young Dylan it doesn't even make me chuckle, I can't even sit through Young Dylan, this I can make it a whole 22 minutes.

When I saw the genre of this show is comedy, I thought it was comedy. The comedy is sooo weak with a poorly executed storyline. It's like watching a poorly written twenty minute drama. This has to be least funniest comedy show I've watched

The 1st couple of episodes was dry. Then it was funny as can be. I love all of Tyler perry productions. This one wasn't a hit or miss.A couple of over acted scenes it over all a great show. Can not wait for season two.

It's very refreshing to see black men be vulnerable and working in positive careers.

I am not really feeling these new TV shows of Tyler Perry. I mean why the long pauses in every scene. Same in sistas, ruthless and now bruh.. I want to support his work..but I'm really not seeing anything that wows me from the latest tv shows he has produced.
