10x the evidence Finding Bigfoot ever "found" in a single season!
deville-872262 February 2020
I am a Bigfoot enthusiast and have been reading up on everything Bigfoot for about 10 years now. That said, I'm not gullible, or am I ? Finding Bigfoot (FB) was an interesting program for anyone interested in the subject of BF. it was widely popular and was on for how many seasons ? 10 ? I enjoyed the cast and all the various locations they went to to try and find BF. The most frustrating thing about FB was the little time they put in at any one location. Plus, it was pretty obvious that Matt and Bobo were not in the physical shape required to do any real "off the grid" backcountry hiking. Thus, they didn't have much success because they didn't go very deep in to the back country. Let's face it, they really didn't find much "Evidence" in 10 seasons.

I like the premise from the start that Expedition Bigfoot took. The advanced use of technology!! Three weeks isn't enough time to remain in an area either, but it was far better than the 1-2 nights that FB did. The other thing was they had a more qualified cast, and FAR LESS ANNOYING ! No one is more irritating than the "know it all blow hard Matt Moneymaker!". With Expedition Bigfoot, at least they have a survivalist and a primatologist cast member ! I thought that was a big step in the right direction and instantly gave them more credibility! The amount of evidence collected was truly remarkable. Let's review their findings in 8 short episodes; Audio Evidence, Outline of image from game cam, twig snaps, loud impact steps heard, bigfoot nest, hair sample, foot print, tree breaks, Red eyes (what I thought most impressive), Orbs, thermal blob white heat signature, great thermal footage of BF, and Whistles.... THAT's A LOT OF EVIDENCE !!! Especially for a single season. And then it hit me..... Not only was that a lot of potential evidence, but that was an incredible amount of VARYING evidence. So think, if you were trying to convince the viewer that BF is real, what would you want to do ? Collect as much evidence as possible and collect a bunch of varying kinds of evidence. The Goal ? To get you program renewed for more seasons ! St the end of the first season when you add it all up.... The viewer says "They really made a good case with all the evidence gathered that BF is real." And "Yes, I tune in to see if they find even more next season".

But....At the conclusion of the last episode It hit me... IT's JUST TOO CONVENIENT !they found all that varying types of evidence. Yes the FB cast were horrible researchers, but in 10 seasons, they didn't even come close to what Expedition Bigfoot found in a mere 3 weeks (a single season of 8 episodes) There is a reason for this... EXPEDITION BIGFOOT FAKED ALL THE EVIDENCE ! The variety of evidence was clearly scripted. As much as I enjoyed every episode, and thought they were using techniques that could produce quality evidence... I forgot something... This is entertainment, not a National Geographic program. Let me ask you this... Did you catch the other Animal Planet show a few years back...."Mermaids, the body found" ! I thought this was a real show that had uncovered real evidence. Later, as many viewers did... we found out that we were duped and this was called a "Docu-Drama". Well, Expedition Bigfoot is similar to that show in a way. Remember, if a new show has any chance to survive, they needed to show the viewer far more evidence than FB did right ? Wasn't that the biggest complaint about FB ? So they did what any TV show would do to give themselves the best chance to have additional seasons. They gave the audience just that.... A whole bunch of evidence ! Problem is... It just wasn't honest and real evidence...

Why would you not put more time and energy into the areas where you saw the eye shine and the hunting site where the man and his wife saw the Bigfoot. It had been eating off there bait pile, why not do his whole set up. Bait piles and blind ? If it was absolutely seen in this area ....why go anywhere else and "hope". Stay where it has been seen!! Fill that area with hunting cams, blinds and many more bait piles ?? Dude said he saw it in daylight and very close to bait pile. Seems like the best way to "hunt" for it. Stay where it has been seen!!! This is what seems more logical, then just heading out on a brand new site? Go exactly where this guy had his blind and work the surrounding land. Put in the time !!! Also same where you saw the eye shine. Set up bait piles, cameras and blinds there too. If it's legit it will come in again to the bait piles and you will catch it on one of your cameras if not face to face. Come on you guys !!! We are rooting for you to find one !!!!!!!

You either believe or you don't.

First I need to say kudos to Zac (cameraman) who follows Russell into the creepiest places. You can clearly hear the hesitation in his voice, but he does it anyway. Yes he's getting paid, but no amount of money would get me to follow Russell. He always seems to find the weirdest and creepiest places. Braver than I would be. All that being said, there seems to be great comradeship between these two. I'd happily watch a programme with Russell and Zac.

What I like about this programme is there's a mixture of believers (Ronnie), sceptics (Russell) and only science will prove it attitude (Meriya) and Bryce who is at the helm, finding the locations and interviewing eye witnesses. I'd rather see a program that will try and find alternatives to what is out there, but when the unexplained happens and science has no answer, it gives a more authentic feel to the entire programme.

I've watched other programmes on Bigfoot, but for me, none come close to this one. If anyone can find them, I believe they will.

For too long the human race has believed they are superior and there can't possibly be any other entity out there. It would be naive to think, with the vast universe, that we are the only intelligent species living. I do believe that there are far more advanced, living beings out there and programmes like this that use science as one of their tools, are first class and can one day, unearth the truth regarding visitors to earth.

Incredible show

It's refreshing to see such a cross functional team explore this subject matter. If you haven't seen season two yet, definitely check it out. The amount of data that they collected and the effort that they went through to do so is quite impressive.

I want to be objective and open-minded when it comes to Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Yeti, having studied Cryptozoology myself. I'm going to say that this series tries to add more of a "research" feel to it, but it fails on many fronts. I only watch it because of Dr. Mayor. I believe she is doing her best to stay the course of science. The survivalist strikes me as a man that has at least a center to him when it comes to what he's doing. By and large, true research and actual science is lacking. Too many quick conclusions based on spurious and anecdotal accounts. When hard "evidence" is found, the results are by and large inconclusive. I'm not sure if they are ghost-hunting or doing scientific research.

Same old same old
mustangguy316 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Same old stuff, they followed the formula to a tee. My biggest pet peeve with this one was. For a solid 7.5 episodes they all were carrying infrared, and night vision cameras. But of course the one time they see "eyes" staring at them from the tree line, within visual range, no mention of or using the equipment that would actually show what the hell it was. Then the old let's use a drone to Inspect something, then omg it has mysteriously lost connection. Same crap over and over again with these shows.

Worth watching
susanshurkey23 May 2022
I don't understand why there's so many negative comments. Of all the Bigfoot shows I've watched, this one I think has been one of the best. They don't just go around whooping and hollering and banging on trees, they have real technology that they're using. Sometimes I question their tactics, but I know it is part of getting viewers to watch the show. Either way, I look forward to watching it every week.

Gifting marbles
gjarrett-3145611 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Russell called Mireya and Ronnie to look at a possible bigfoot gift. Ronnie left an apple with a greenish marble in episode 5. Then in episode 7 a camera man spots a marble laying on top of some pine needles. Ronnie said he put a blue marble on the apple as a gift. Well the problem with that is that marble was blue. If you compare the 2 marbles you will see they are different. If you ask me Ronnie is planting evidence and the crew doesn't know. Get rid of Ronnie le Blac or le Blanc oh who cares he sucks.

Hilariously bad
medfordjd18 January 2021
These so-called researchers couldn't find cow at a dairy farm. The science is as fictional as the Finding Bigfoot nonsense. It's just astonishing they find nothing in the forest at night while they crash around with flashlights and walkie-talkies. The tension and drama are more fake than the evidence they purport to uncover. How do these guys keep a straight face when doing their lines? It's unlikely but there might be something out in the wilderness but please, these guys will not be the ones to document it. Don't waste your time unless you are just bored to death.

Not the usual material.
parringtonr4 January 2020
I usually avoid these shows like the plague. They Normally have scripted actors, set up reconstructions and lots of padding.

This is a fun show, the guys on it have real actual credentials and history. Bryce in general is a legend (death valley ! What show !!) I found the episodes interesting, always leave you wanting to know what happens next.

Whether you flat out don't believe Bigfoot or UFOs or whatever this show definitely creeps you out at times and does make you think. Obviously there is a lot of slick editing but I enjoyed it and would recommend it for the casual TV watcher and definitely for the paranormal/conspiracy community.

Keep it up Bryce !!

Another Bigfoot show with no Bigfoot...
klbr-259518 April 2022
While Mireya Mayor actual qualifications, Ronnie Le Blanc really cheapens the show. Every movement, every sound in that huge forest represents a Bigfoot to him. And a cloaked Bigfoot at that... Isn't it possible that whistle was an owl or that snapping twig was a deer or maybe a dozen other animals that live in the forest. The wide-ranging technology is interesting to watch, but Ronnie's constant assumption that Bigfoot is lurking is just too much.

Sheer idiocy
jmsutphen6 March 2021
If I did believe in Bigfoot, this team would make me change my mind. Yes, they're that goofy. I'm still not sure why I watched it. Everything is a sign of Bigfoot. I'm not sure who's more ridiculous, Ronny or Russell.

Dr Mayer must have really needed the money to be involved in this hot mess. She tries to be objective. I would never enter the woods with these buffoons, especially Ronny. And Bryce, who never gets his hands dirty, just takes witness accounts at face value. Everything is true as long as it fits his narrative. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is the unintentional laughs I get.

Warning: Spoilers
They record infrasound! That is absolutely wild, that definitively means there's at least something out there that we sure as hell don't know about. Not to mention the heat signature in which multiple experts of various kinds go over and definitively say it's something they've never seen before..... This show is pretty rad and I never have liked a Sasquatch tv show before.

When I go hunting, I dont advertise to the thing I'm hunting for that I am there by using flashlights. How do these people never use the right equipment at the right time. We will never see a "bigfoot"!!

A controversial topic, yet elusive creatures.
dbartol21 October 2021
Personally, I like this show. This is because I am out in the thick and islolated forests of California, myself. Every now and then, I get the distinct feeling I am / was being watched - A part of my intuition which is mostly right, when it comes to humans. But here's the catch: I, or me and friends, were the only ones in the area, at these times. This happened once when the sun was coming down, for sure.

At first, I was a sceptic of the existence of Bigfoot - However, I believe too much is going on. I am a weightlifer, looking fairly muscular, standing at 240 pounds, 6 ft. 2. Maybe this is why rocks weren't thrown (Although this last part, ofcourse I will never be sure of). Besides, it's not like Sasquatch has ever been spotted out in the deserts to the east.

Those that claim from behind a keyboard or smartphone all this is false - I'd say come in with an open mind. The existence of fairly large squids was indeed denied at first, untill they too, recently washed up ashore. The Gimlin Patterson creature looks the same as other Bigfoots recorded over the (recent) decades - Of which sharp(er) recorded material actually exists.

Personally, I welcome a show like this one, especially with scientists onboard. Yes, producers have to follow rules of commercialisation. However, on the other hand, this group of people is taking the initiative, going out there, and in part trying to get the afore mentioned scientific answers. To me, I say - Keep up the great work. Keep going, ignore the naysayers, untill a point in the future where the existence of Bigfoot can finally be scientifically proven (Or debunked, ofcourse - Although personally, I am leaning towards the existence of a Bigfoot species).

DNA testing- wow really
cninoflores26 September 2023
I was strongly a fan of this show. However my intelligence was insulted when Dr Mireya found white hair and gave to Bryce for testing. When the tests came back as unidentified species However, these law enforcement professionals stop short of admitting that it could be a bigfoot. Aghhh really and they mention there could errors in the testing. Last time I checked DNA was solid proof of what is out there. I'm watching this show with skeptical view. Good show though, will continue to watch. Also one more thing I noticed when Russell clearly had a bigfoot trapped in the back of that tunnel he discovered but all of sudden headed to the river and avoided going further in. Mmm makes me wonder if there was really something there.

Same annoying shoddy work
inskyfire15 March 2021
At first I really liked this, then it got so annoying when they would get so close then run the opposite direction. What!? Really?! You are there to find them, not run every time you supposedly see them. How stupid. One is either too uncomfortable with the situation so they tell everyone to leave, or they just get too scared and run..so stupid. They are there to find them, not run everytime they think they see them. Just really annoying, and makes me think it is faked.

Love everyone on the show and what they bring to it.

Could do better
nkaynard15 April 2022
Has compelling experts, credible sounding testimonies, and great methods for capturing evidence.

Problems: THE MUSIC! They play music over what the researchers are supposedly hearing during the investigation. Would love to hear what they're hearing without that stupid music.

They play through the evidence way too quickly for the viewer to judge for him or herself.

No repeat trial techniques. Some techniques seemed to produce results but they don't repeat as necessary for credibility.

As is usually the case..
intrepidami6 January 2020
They've set up an area allegedly teaming with Bigfoots. Everything is presented as new ground breaking "we're the first to...." stuff and so far I've seen nothing that I've not seen before.

It is interesting their bear "expert" saw not one, but 3 bears where none have been seen in many years. Of course the cameras were turned off so WE don't see bears.

Lots of "first time interviews" that can easily be debunked by googling the people who've never talked before and seeing they have talked for years!

You can't get away with claims like this anymore.

You don't even need to look these things up on the net. An example is they have a guy out exploring alone and he's going by tree stumps on his walk while the narrator is saying he's in a place "so inaccessible to humans", so apparently the Bigfoots are logging?

One interesting thing was watching a guy clearly driving and talking on his cell phone illegally, right up to his ear! Not once, but through several episodes. That was revealing. I never saw that one before on a TV show.

Russel "solo" repels down what is described as a long way down. There's a camera person set up on the opposite side in several shots? As he's "solo" repelling with all the drama and whatnot. Also the repel literally looked to be no more than 100 feet. But they're calling it 450. That's 45 story building they're estimating.

Conclusion: this is all dramatic Bull crap. I'm almost positive these people are right off a highway and just faking their asses off. They do a few shots of camping, and go to their hotel each night.

Another thing they're doing is constantly repeating themselves after a commercial break to fill time. They're spending five minutes alone recapping footage and audio of the last episode before doing this.

"Hey I know, let's turn on the car lights, really make the camera wobble and bring UFO's into the next episode!"

Folks it's pretty sad when I'm yearning for Finding Bigfoot episode instead of this crap. At least they're funny.
