Cops over reacting before any evidence
Jackbv12324 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The cops violated so many civil rights and laws that at least two of them would have been dismissed without pension, the suspect freed with a restraining order on the cops and the city sued not to mention sanctioned by the feds. Raking info off a federal marshal's phone without permission and then using it for a wire tap. Never ever happen. Drawing down on a federal marshal. At the very least the lady cop would have been taken off the case after hitting Mary. Not to mention extreme time compression. Sorry just can't live with all that crap. At least try to be at least partially consistent.

"Let's not start accusing people until we have evidence." ? He could say that after what had already happened????

The Mary's boyfriend and sister thing is getting way too old.

Who did it?

Warning: Spoilers
I'm still confused. Did Ramirez kill himself or did his wife do it? If he did kill himself, what kind of forensics do they have in Albuquerque that didn't figure out it was a suicide from the beginning and avoid the whole episode? If she did it, why at this time, since she had obviously know before that he was gay, and was she arrested and/or charged? I agree that there were a number of not credible things (Mary sleeping with a witness, the backpack still being there), but I'm willing to accept them for the sake of entertainment. Lack of clarity, however, is not acceptable in a show of this type. Also, please note that she did not cheat on Raph with the witness; they had not met at the time thirteen months ago). However, it looks like that's about to change.

OK, is it just me or did they change her name?

OK, I thought Mary's last name was Shannon? But in the episode "Good cop, Dead cop" she answers her phone as Mary Shepard? How did her name change since the airing of the show? Or did I miss something again? Overall, I like the show, but Mary is being made out to be a little too "sexual" so to speak.... How could she get mad when she found out her boyfriend slept with Judy when they were broken up, yet she just slept with a witness when they weren't broke up??? Again, I like the show, but we need more of a good story line. Mary just needs to hook up with Marshall and get it over with, you can tell there is some kind of "spark" there yet they aren't moving on it.... Come on people, get the audience into the show before this ends up being a one season show that gets cancelled because the ratings went way down!

Try Again

The show up to this point had its flaws, but overall was enjoyable and, importantly, *consistent*. Listen, writers: you establish a character by showing how they behave in various situations. And while this show is still new and the characters are still being developed, Mary sleeping with the witness is *so* out of character with what's been established so far. As soon as I saw that in the promos, I had a bad feeling. If you had at least built it up a little, but instead you fall back on a cliché. And from there it goes from cliché to cliché to cliché. Five squad cars pulling up, sirens blazing, guns drawn, full Kevlar and handcuffs...to pick someone up for *questioning*? Not even an arrest? With absolutely zero evidence? The lawyers would be lining up to try that lawsuit.

Hopefully you'll get back on track next week. The preview looks interesting. Learn your lesson from this, and don't do anything like it again.
