This beautiful picture of a graceful and dignified ceremony will make a strong appeal to refined people everywhere, also the second part of it, which shows a cobbler of wooden shoes is no less acceptable. Both are truly human and deeply interesting. These Japanese vignettes seem to this reviewer the best of their kind that has been offered to the public so far. The camera work is very clear and natural in tones and details. - The Moving Picture World, November 15, 1913
