A story of Tahiti that is as straightforward and as simple as the people from whose annals it was taken. It is child-like without being childish and makes a strong appeal to the naturalness that civilization has still left in us; such pictures strongly appeal to the majority. The audience plainly liked it. We wish the photography were clearer, but it is good enough to get the story over. It opens with a fine glimpse of the surf. - The Moving Picture World, April 19, 1913
