- Chef Ramsay prepares breakfast for the three remaining chefs - and a few guests - then asks the contestants to replicate the dishes that they ate. Later, Ramsay sabotages the dinner service to see how they react to adversity.
- Chef Ramsay surprises the Final 3 chefs by bringing in a few special guests to join them for a breakfast he prepared. After the guests leave, Ramsay asks the chefs to recreate the signature dish they just ate. This challenge throws a couple of the chefs off their game, which leads to them scrambling in the kitchen. During the dinner service, Ramsay hands over the reins of Hell's Kitchen to each of the Final 3 and the chefs each take a turn running the hot plate. But Ramsay and his sous chef purposely start sabotaging dinner to see how the chefs react.
- With Jen banished, Petrozza and Corey give each other a big hug. Maybe now the chefs will get along. "I feel like this giant weight has been lifted," Christina says.
The next morning, the competitors head downstairs to Hell's Kitchen. "Congratulations, yes?" Chef Ramsay says. "The final three." To celebrate their accomplishment, Ramsay introduces Corey's mom and boyfriend, Christina's mom and dad and Petrozza's father and girlfriend.
"Oh my gosh, I can't even believe it!" Petrozza gushes. All the families sit down for a breakfast of Chef Ramsay's signature dish. Petrozza pays more attention to his visitors, while Christina attempts to figure out what she is eating.
After the meal, the families leave ... and Chef Ramsay drops a bomb. "Now that you've tasted it, all of you are going to make it," he says. "That is your next challenge." Petrozza's eyes bug out. The competitors have 45 minutes to recreate the recipe.
They get cooking. Corey and Petrozza select buffalo meat, while Christina chooses venison. Petrozza, after tasting his concoction, switches to venison as well. Next up: vegetables. Christina was "95-percent sure" the dish contained white bean puree and finally finds some "waaaay up on the shelf." With 10 minutes remaining, Corey has a brainstorm and adds raspberry framboise.
The buzzer sounds. Now it's time to test the dishes. Chef Ramsay tries a bite of each. Corey scores with the framboise. She is also the only one who put cream in the cabbage to "bind it." Unfortunately, she chose the wrong meat.
Petrozza and Christina have so-so sauces but the correct meats. After a suspense-building commercial break, Chef Ramsay chooses Christina's dish. Her reward: a three-course meal throughout the city with transportation via a triple-decker bus. Corey and Petrozza will stay back crushing ice and cleaning glasses.
Christina boards the bus ... and her family gets to come! They take a tour of Hollywood and then sit down for the first of three whirlwind meals. Meanwhile, Petrozza and Corey chip away at giant blocks of ice.
Back on the bus, Christina says an emotional goodbye to her parents and heads back inside. She puts on her chef whites and joins Corey and Petrozza in the kitchen to prep for dinner service.
"Tough one tonight," Chef Ramsay says. "There's one more thing I need ..."
That "one thing" turns out to be the next challenge. Each chef will take a turn running the kitchen during the service. But first, Chef Ramsay offers them assertiveness training. The results -- the competitors screaming at Chef Ramsay over fake orders -- are quite amusing.
"It's like some kind of weird therapy," Petrozza quips.
Now it's time to open Hell's Kitchen. The well-dressed patrons enter and start placing orders. It's service time!
One interesting twist: Sous-chefs Scott and Gloria are not only filling in, but also intentionally sabotaging certain dishes in order to test the contestants.
Petrozza is the first to run the kitchen and starts barking orders. All is going well until Scott sends up a risotto missing peas. Petrozza doesn't notice ... and gets a tongue lashing from Chef Ramsay as a result.
Christina, meanwhile, burns a salmon fillet and then sends the next one up raw. Her performance is driving Petrozza "up a wall." Chef Ramsay asks Christina if she thinks the dinner service is a "joke." Bottom line: no one is jealous of Christina anymore.
Back from break, Christina is encouraged to "wake up" by a red-faced Chef Ramsay. "I don't know what happened," Christina says. "I got totally confused. It was just a hot-ass mess." She then drops a pan on the floor. Chef Ramsay describes her performance as a "meltdown."
Corey's turn to run the kitchen. She gets off to a rocky start by misreading an order card. Then, Scott sends up the wrong sauce for the beef wellington. Corey doesn't notice.
"I'm really surprised you missed that," Chef Ramsay chides. "Not good enough!"
Corey goes back to her station to make way for Christina. Christina yells out orders while Corey cooks the meat to perfection.
"Christina has a high-pitched voice, like kind of squealy," Corey observes. "It can be a little bit annoying, I have to say."
Sous chef Gloria, meanwhile, intentionally puts the wrong ingredient into the mashed potatoes. Will Christina notice?
"Gloria, this is basil," Christina says. "I need mint, please!" Chef Ramsay praises her performance.
A short time later, the last dinner service as a team is completed.
"Honestly, I don't know who should be in the final," Chef Ramsay says, sending us into a commercial break.
Back from break, Chef Ramsay summarizes the chef's performances. Corey did well on meat, but bad at the helm. Christina did horrible on fish, but well at the window. Petrozza was just OK running things and his food was good. The competitors must now retire upstairs, smoke a little and choose one nominee for elimination.
"This is the most difficult decision, the most difficult words that I've had to speak in my life," Petrozza says.
Back downstairs, the trio assembles in front of Chef Ramsay. "I like you all a lot," he says. "I'm so proud of all three of you standing there. This is the bit I don't enjoy."
Corey nominates ... Christina. Christina nominates ... Corey. Petrozza nominates ... Christina.
Chef Ramsay makes his final decision. Petrozza will be moving on to next week ... as will Christina. Corey is going home.
"Hold your head up high," Chef Ramsay tells Corey. "You are one talented girl. You have a dream. Follow that."
Corey follows the exit signs out.
Next week: The final battle between Christina and Petrozza.
