Yashoda Borkar works at a bank and is married to a singer and music director, Anand Borkar, who has not managed to succeed in either field of his skill. An over eager Yashoda's ambition and expectation falls on her child Shyam who wants him to be a doctor and just concentrate and gear up for his board exams. Yashoda forces Shyam to chase the highest rank in his exams, by even depriving him of his childhood. The story twists with the arrival of a new neighbor who happens to be of Shyam's age and manages to get better grades despite active participation in sports. Will Shyam be able to top his exams with the constant comparison and complex he deals with on a daily basis?
