Mind blowing brilliant entertainement serie!
Vinceryk17 September 2020
Full of smart plot twist with suspense and action. Brilliant and offbeat dialogues and humour. A beautiful portrait of a 70's society. Flirt with many cinema genre (Hitchcock, Tarantino, Scorsese and much more) but it keeps it's own originality with a unique signature. In Quebec, lack of budget doesn't reflect on this high quality serie. If you love this serie I highly recommend you watch "Serie Noire" from the same writer and same director.

It is brilliant. End of discussion.

What this production accomplishes in season 1 is so funny, compelling and from the heart that I can't believe that everyone in America isn't talking about it. It has just started streaming on Amazon Prime and my friends and I can't stop talking about how much we... 1. Love Huggette.

2. Love all of the supporting actors.

3. Are blown away by the risks taken in writing, direction and subtle but hilarious acting---and--- 4. How it ever got overlooked in the first place.

With so many attempts at dark comedy these days that land like a bowl of tapioca pudding on shag carpeting,---real, weird and engaging comedies that can honestly and accurately evoke a particular time and place should be seen and appreciated. This cast and crew has it in spades and the moment to moment brilliance of scene after scene is every bit as present as in the Fargo series. If you loved Juno Temple or Kirsten Dunst and their supporting casts Fargo, you will absolutely adore Marilyn Castonguay and her crew in Happily Married.

masterfully written

French canadian humor at his finest. Francois Létourneau did it again. After the Serie noire et 'Les invincibles', he strike again with this gem of a show : 2 couples from the same Neighborhood in Québec Sainte-Foy in the 70s want to try something new and spice up their life. They get themselves into criminality. Its far more easy than anticipated and everything start to roll on its own until the 'real' mafia get wind of their new hobbies.

Based on a real event, this show is funny, awkward, and all the character are masterfully written and interpreted by all the cast. I find myself laughing at every scene while this wild adventure keep on giving. Patrice Robitaille, especially is brilliant. Every line of his is gold.

The third and finale season just hit, and the stake as never been higher. Thanks Mr Létourneau. Waiting for you next project... and maybe play a different character this time ? ;)
