I'm always a fan of a Hexside episode featuring Gus and Willow, and 'Escape of the Palisman' is another pretty solid example!
The secondary plot, however, is very unmemorable, which is unfortunate since it sets up a pretty important plot point, the fact that the elixirs are beginning to have less of an effect on Eda's curse.
The main plot is pretty good, it helps to establish Owlbert's character for the first time, as well as their new-found care and respect for Luz. It also builds on both the character of the Bat Queen as well as the incredibly interesting lore of the Boiling Isles and the Owl House universe as a whole.
Establishing the concept of a Palisman is not only fun and interesting, but it also helps set up episodes and plot points in later seasons that are extremely memorable!
