This episode, as for the rest of part 4 of La Casa de Papel merges the best and worst you can have in a TV series. Emotion and power in the writing, powerful speeches but no closure. A beggining without an end...
We got the best we can ask from a TV series: deep emotional moments that make you hold your breath while watching. Meaningful scences, spiced up with amazing flashbacks, that make us learn more about the characters we learned to love. The criminal plans and the mastermind of El Professor, are again shown to be something we have never seen anywhere else.
But more than that the message is again astonishing, the message for DEMOCRACY - the power of the people. The magnificient way this series explores how masses can be moved by common values and a meaningful story. Amazing.
However, and I write this with some sadness, this part four lacked something. It lacked a powerful end, or if they really want to keep this going a powerful cliffhanger (this one was far from that). It lacked closure, for the characters but mainly for us. It lacked real change, it lacked a real victory or defeat. The journey to this last episode is still worth it, building momentum for what could have been an amazing end. Instead, the choice was to set the beggining for a new sub-plot, without creating a clear end for the last one... Maybe the future will give us something good, but for now, this did not seem right.
