Brandon sucks
dptxfpfs26 October 2021
Brandon and the new chick in season 2 was a terrible move. They were staged and couldn't act, Did not feel genuine. Brandon was terrible and kind of ruined season 2 for me.

Enjoyable. But can be a little boring at times.

Warning: Spoilers
I just found this series online and I enjoy it. But it can be a little boring. There's a little too much business side and not enough high-excitement for the finds. Also, the bosses seem to be a little 'penny wise and pound foolish' at times. They'll have these massive buildings to salvage and send the salvage guy in with 1-2 helpers. "You've got 2 days before we demolish it". They find things that can bring massive amounts of money and is often told 'you just don't have the time to get it all'. Why not give him an extra helper or two? Labor is cheap when you're talking pricey salvage. Like a portable bank vault they needed to disassemble. Estimated value, $50,000. 'The demolition crew will be there tomorrow, just get the vault door (value, $10,000) and leave the rest', he's told. Anyways, it's still a likeable show and I would recommend it.

Love it

Wait til you see season two!!! You will fall in love with the extremely witty, funny, handsome right hand man and find everyone else ok. The stuff they get themselves into is outrageously. The new Salvage store is awesome and Ted will be there everyday. Cheers.

Great Show: Please make another season!
tblancht8 October 2021
My husband & I found this show and just love watching it. It's clean, it's comical, it's live, and the actors are real. Their communication with each other is like fine tuning a machine. I hope the creators would convince someone to make another season. This is a family, showing family and how a family business is run!

Up and down

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy the concept, love the guys but when I see them destroy things that I could only dream of having it makes me so sad. When Justin destroyed the marble bar top (season 1episode 6) I was almost in tears...the way that these precious relics get handled is devastating at times. Even seeing that building destroyed instead of turned into condos with character killed me! So much history down the drain. I hope all the wood bar, trim, anything that can be saved is saved? It would help to hear exactly what's saved? Honestly I'm torn about continuing to watch. They must know ahead of time when things are getting destroyed so why only get 1-2 days to salvage? It's hard to watch so many things get left behind...,

Absolutely Entertaining
guelphguy-7428127 April 2024
Let's start by saying that this is not the kind of show I'd be interested in. I hate reality shows lol. They are a blight on humanity and truly evidence of an intellectual decline.

Now, for a complete reversal on what I just said. It's a Canadian show which adds to the value of it.

I began to watch it in 2024 and have been hooked on it ever since. Ted is the ultimate host/ presenter. He's funny, an advocate of maintaining the history and preservation of "things" and very informative .

The sites that we are taken to are very interesting. They are extremely varied. He has an equally interesting casts of people that work with him.

It appears that there will be no more shows which to me is very saddening.

Drop in quality in season 2
leynir2 January 2022
I enjoyed watching season 1 and would give it a solid 6.

In season 2 they added two newcomers who both seemed kind of fake to me and IMO messed up the team dynamics.

I gave them a chance but soon found myself skipping most of their scenes. After 3 episodes I dropped the show. It seems the producers wanted to appeal to younger, trendier audiences and that is not my cup of tea. Maybe that's also why the crew started to do fist bumps instead of shaking hands? In any case it's annoying, too.

In case there's a third season without Brandon and Maya I'd be willing to check it out.

Big drop in season 2
kanders741 November 2022
For a reality show, season one was a 10. The characters seemed authentic, the work interesting. By season two the salvage component of the business has moved to an all new site. It seems like a lot of character was lost, both in location and in the addition of the new show members, Maya and Brandon. They seem like they were forced upon the business by the show producers. They are either really bad actors or are trying too hard. Meanwhile we lost Priestly family members Julien and his grandpa Vic, it appears they didn't want to return, which is sad, they seemed real and interesting to me.

LIke a lot of these show, many of the shots and scenes seem over produced and set up. Why'd they have to wreck a perfectly good show? I hated to see season one end, but by season two I didn't even want to continue watching after a few episodes and gave up. It would nice to see it back for a third season, but with a return to the style of season one.
