A pleasing but not strongly dramatic picture of hacienda life in Mexico. Its backgrounds are a patio with ferns, palms and fountains, a flight of stone steps or a garden path flooded with sunlight and one or two interiors, perfectly set and trimmed, and it is played in rich brocaded costumes. The owner of the hacienda has found his wife in the arms of a friend and has turned her out of the house. She was not very guilty and is now living in a cottage not far away. Their child, a very pleasing little girl, is lonely and falls sick. This brings about a reconciliation. The producer has skillfully handled his material and the offering will probably be liked. - The Moving Picture World, December 28, 1912
