- Little Richie: [the boys' joint science-report turns into a duke-out] ... The center of the Solar System is what we call our Sun.
- [Wally, providing illustrations on the blackboard, is clearly anything but happy about Richie taking the spotlight for himself]
- Little Richie: ... The nearest planet to our sun is Mercury -- which is 35,960,000 miles away. Then comes Venus, which is 67 million...
- [sees that Wally is -- deliberately -- using too much space on the blackboard too fast]
- Little Richie: Wally, that's too far!
- Wally: You just said it was 67 million miles away.
- Little Richie: If you put Venus way over there, we won't have enough room on the blackboard for Pluto.
- Wally: Okay, wise-guy, why don't *you* make the drawings while *I* give the report?
- [They begin shoving each other]
- Little Richie: I got a better idea: you draw them RIGHT, so we can BOTH get this over with! If you put Venus THERE, we'll have to put Pluto in Ms. Noszigger's room.
- Wally: I'd like to put *you* in Ms. Noszigger's room!
- Little Richie: Think you're big enough, GRUNT-BRAIN?
- Wally: I *know* I'm big enough, CHICKEN BREATH!
- [they start beating each other up]
- Ms. Stern: Boys, what are you doing? Boys!
- [the other kids rush forward to watch the slugfest]
- Ms. Stern: Alright, kids, sit down; get back in your seats! Come on, boys, break it up...
- [to the others]
- Ms. Stern: Did you kids hear what I said?
- Classmate #1: [DELETED LINE] I got ten bucks on Wally!
- Classmate #2: [DELETED LINE] Twenty on Richie!
- Ms. Stern: No, don't; stop encouraging them!
- [to Richie and Wally]
- Ms. Stern: That's enough, boys...!
- [to their classmates]
- Ms. Stern: You! Put that money away, right now...!
