• Penelope : [Garfield gives her half of his pizza]  Gee, you even gave me a piece with a meatball on it.

  Garfield : [he and Penelope eat their pizza]  Well, I'm all heart. Speaking of meatballs, you still hanging around with Brick?

  Penelope : Brick's a nice guy. Sometimes.

  Garfield : Oh, come on.

  [Brick approaches Garfield from behind] 

  Garfield : Brick has muscles of steel and a head to match. He's so dumb...

  Brick : How... dumb... am I?

  Garfield : [turns around and bumps into Brick]  You're so dumb...

  Penelope : Garfield!

  Garfield : Uh... You... You're going to leave me alone and not harm a hair on my little body. Bye!

• Garfield : You take your hands off my girl!

  [Brick growls] 

  Garfield : Did I say that?

  [Penelope is smitten] 

  Brick : Cat, you're in big trouble.

  Garfield : Sure looks that way.

  [Garfield runs away and Brick chases after him] 

  Penelope : Brick, don't hurt him!

  Garfield : Yeah, Brick, don't hurt him!

  Brick : If I get my hands on you, you're a goner!

  Garfield : When the man's right, he's right. I have to do something.
