This film is about a stupid young New York hood. The problem is that he has a gambling habit and has gotten in pretty deep to the bookies. So, to get him out of it debt, he and his older brother agree to beat up and rob someone--then the debt will be squared.
Problems start when the brother gets shot during this "favor". No, it isn't that he's hurt very badly, but because the brother is laid up at home, the young idiot is left to deliver the bag they took off their victim earlier that night. And, since he has a gambling problem, he doesn't make it to his destination--stopping to shoot craps first--with money he'd stolen from this very same gang that night! After losing some of this money that was not his, who would come in but the muscle men for the bookie! Needless to say, they are not pleased and it's hard to feel sorry for anyone that stupid.
The bookies are mad enough to kill. But, instead, they take his brother to see the boss. There, he's told that the gambling brother will die horribly but if this brother kills him, then at least he will be allowed to live. Not much of a deal, huh? Later, the two brothers are on the roof talking. Eventually the younger one realizes why they are there and what must happen. So he does exactly what he has to do.
Overall, very well done and worth seeing. This short has a lot to like, even if the story is pretty tough.
