Modern Geology?
darbski24 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
What started out as an extremely brief explanation of geologic stone, quickly devolves into an explanation of how rock is turned into building materials. In my humble opinion, this should have been billed as something different. There was almost no real geology in this episode, and frankly, it was boring.

I know that they have to sell these stories to sponsors, who then pay "Modern Marvels", "History Channel", to get people interested in what they say the programs are about, so they can then sell them more stuff through the commercials, but they could AT LEAST show what they say it's about. If it's going to be about processing building materials, SAY SO. I wasted time waiting for a program about geology from the formation of the earth to today.

History Channel has a history of doing just this; taking a serious subject, and dumbing it down to something that's supposedly entertaining. Shame. Do they have a readable mission statement? Is it available for public viewing? Could they be held to it?

Again, it's only MY opinion, but they could take their subjects and actually do it right. I'll bet almost all people would appreciate the real story.
