The pace is dropping, which is not an issue at all. This episode has a very simple plot line but the interaction between Narihisago and Fukuda is very interesting and rather strange. Fukuda displays an interesting level of self-sacrifice which was unexpected. This was very enjoyable.
I must note that is can be hard to follow what is going on here. The objective is to save Hondomachi, who has done a 2nd dive from Narihisago's well using an active Mizuhanome cockpit linked to Kiki Asukai.
I am assuming they can't just send Fukuda into the well to hit the reset, because he would appear in a new well, so they need to find another well with an active Mizuhanome cockpit linked to Kiki Asukai.
For some reason they find out Momoki knows Kiki Asukai, who Narihisago also know, which is why Narihisago's well has an active Mizuhanome cockpit linked to Kiki Asukai in it. Getting rather complex isn't it.
I am also assuming they can't send Narihisago and Fukuda into Narihisago well, because then Narihisago will be trapped forever. I can really see a possible end point in this series based on that fact, I wonder if the writers will do something with this.
What is the solution, lets send Narihisago and Fukuda into Momoki's well and hope there is an active Mizuhanome cockpit linked to Kiki Asukai there? I have no idea why they think this would be the case, but it does happen. Because there are two of them one can go into the 2nd well and the other can eject the first out after 10 minutes. What happens when you get to the 2nd well, that is not very clear?
This is a thinking person's TV-Shows, those with short attention spans and low-IQ would almost certainly not enjoy this, although the gore may hold their attention.
