An Average Finale. That's really it.

I didn't think the finale was that bad. It's answered questions that took a whole season to answer.

There were some characters that I didn't know if I was supposed to support or wired to hate.

The last third of the finale was setting up a second season, especially the ending at the very last minute. Each character did have more stories to continue on. No surprises there.

I felt this episode was both closed and open-ended for the fictional world of Katy Keene.

It would be nice for their stories to continue on in another project if not too late to yell at this point of the review.

Overall, I didn't find the series finale episode incredibly spectacular, and finale episode don't have to be immensely spectacular, but it does succeed in closing this season.

BETTER THAN RIVERDALE

In my own opinion, Katy Keene is way better than Riverdale. Just normal everyday day life event with a little bit of flair. It's just the best

I know a con when I see one

And this was deftinitely the work of a con-artist.

In the face of cancellation, Roberto's team tried to show they can write, by making the second season's opening the final episode aired.

This way they could both show the commitee they have material, while artificialy pumping the numbers and clicks (especialy with the cliffhangers), and trying to rise pressure from the audience, maybe hoping a lettering-campaign.

As we see, it did not work. Actualy, I wonder how they got a 7 season deal for Riverdale the first place (see distractify for details), while they.only had a mid-school setting, which is 4 years timespan.

On the other hand, it is very obvious everyone wants to get rid of this franchise ASAP, so I wonder, how Katy Keene got greenlit the first place?

My fav. Here was "Pepper", but on the sidenote of that, less is sometimes more. The whole convoluted history of the character was entirely unnecessary. Had been way better to just come in, and swindle her way to opening night, elevating everyone and be the anti-hero. And arrested (especialy with the ownership switched) if necessary as a cautionary tale.
