SNL is a great opportunity for us to find out that most athletes a) can't act and b) aren't funny. Though with this episode, I blame the writers. So many of the skits fell just short of being funny. It was like the punch line was missing. For example, the Madden NFL skit -- finding out that some opposing player was writing the dialogue would have taken it up a level.

Could barely make it through the episode

This season has its highs and lows like any other, but this episode in particular was so unbearably bad. I could barely make it through the frozen sketch, and I didn't even imagine it could go downhill from there. Unfortunately the hosts charisma couldn't make up for his complete lack of comic timing. Too bad he didn't get any help from the writers!
