A farce produced in one of the magnificent temples of Java. Some fine and deeply interesting views of the glorious edifice of Boro Boedeor are shown, but the farce seems more of an interruption than a help, at least to cultivated people. The trouble is with the players, who act the story in an almost silly way. The photography is clear and as there is much of very deep interest in the backgrounds we think it will go with most audiences strongly, in spite of all drawbacks. The temples are Boro Boedeor, a ruined wonder of the world, and a smaller temple, Mendoet. - The Moving Picture World, August 23, 1913
