A horrifying look into America's criminality.

Warning: Spoilers
Jeronta Brown & Briana Brooks are engaged, planning to get married and expecting their first child together. Brown's father was rumored to have 150'000 dollars in cash in his home (turns out later it was somewhere closer to 230'000 USD). Two men kidnap Jeronta and Briana for ransom, but the couple end up getting shot when her father involves the Police. Jeronta dies three days later, while her premature 7 month baby survives somehow. The investigation is murky, filled with dead ends. Police look for a man called E, who doesn't exist. The break comes when Andre Cleveland Gay pocket dials a number that records words too horrible to print here. Gay is a paroled murderer, but that isn't the worse. His accomplice, Richard "Fathead" Augusta Wilson gets busted in Alabama trying to pawn an AK-47. Wilson's final confession is unspeakably remorseless. He calls his victims "collateral damage" and doesn't even recall how many people he's killed. Both criminals are sentenced to life, while Jeronta Brown & Briana Brooks's baby will grow up without parents.

The episode is a nightmarish look at Atlanta's crime problem, and one wonders how the police département can function without psychological support. Every community looks brutalized. Brown's father looks barely surprised at the violence, which makes the whole ordeal even worse. This is a world of violence, greed, and prison abuse that creates monsters.

The episodes ends abruptly with no resolution. How could there be?
