Lo-fi animation, written by Alan Moore
Red-Barracuda27 October 2021
This is the earliest film version of the writings of comics legend Alan Moore, it's a sci-fi tale about a character called Ragnarok who deals with problems on different planets. It is a little surprising that this is a Moore work actually, as it doesn't exhibit his usual complexity and originality. Its not strictly an animated work and instead is made up of many, many stills produced by Bryan Talbot - it reminded me of the 80's kids show Captain Zep - Space Detective. The production values are very lo-fi, yet the artwork is still fairly impressive given just how many stills had to be produced for it.
