This show is really a shame. It is so unfortunate to see Marc Wootton go down to the level of A "Two pints of lager..." caliber of comedy. "High Spirits with Shirley Ghostman" was one of BBC comedy's finest achievements, and all I can guess is that either the writers( Peter Baynham, one of the finest comedy writers in Britain) were the ones who made Shirley Ghostman so great, or that Marc received too much negative feedback for his portrayal of the very cruel and controversial character.
This show is yet another trite sketch show, where Marc dumbs down his talents. Another kick in the face for TV I guess. Good thing I rarely ever watch it anymore.
