I wasn't expecting this I must say, it was a bit scary for the little one ( in a good way ), and it certainly left a mark on adults too Superbly designed, voice cast is spot on Quite the gem !

Simply Amazing

You have to watch this, I promise you'll have no regrets afterwards. It appears every Christmas and I love it, it's honestly one of my favourite festive watches. I know it's a kids' mini series but let me explain.

It's hard to put what's so brilliant about it into words but here goes. The animation for the series is fantastic but what really makes it is the stellar writing. It's so dark for a kids' series but so entertaining, and in only an hour contains so much character development, story arc and pay offs of promises and storylines. Plus, everything fits together so well by the end. The reveal of the story and the main character's aims throughout makes for some really shocking moments. I'm sticking to my guns and saying that this is better than 95% of most modern cinema & TV. Plus, a masterful performance by Dominic West as the Big Bad Wolf. He's so mysterious and sinister, but playful and interesting and it makes for a captivating character.

Put it this way, if you don't watch it, you're making a big mistake...

Art, animation, cinematography and sound are very good in my opinion. The story though...

Revolting Rhymes (2016) is another retelling of classic fairy tales. A bit of fairy bashing which i enjoyed. Though the ending left me disappointed.

If you saw the film, you might be able to guess why, we were all expecting it but when it didn't happen, you have to ask yourself... Why?

But it's better than ruining the ending with something random

Also, bad parenting wins. That's what I basically got from the film. The kids in the film are least affected by bad parenting, except maybe Jack and Red, but the heroes always win so whatever

Also also, the film basically says that murdering people is the solution in modern society and lives don't matter unless they are humans'

I don't want to bring race into a kid's film, but it is too apparent. The human white girl gets her justice while the black wolf doesn't. The white nanny is only happy when the white people in the story are safe...
